Frustrations! - Plastic produce bags and other items are too high for short people! Many times there are no bags. - Deli people ignored me after I stood there a good 10 minutes. Because I was in a hurry I bought prepackaged lunchmeat/ cheese combo for $13!!! The cheese was soft and smeared all over the lunch meat, and the ham discolored!! - The new woman in charge of the self serve cashier line treats people like cattle! Very brash and rude and scolded a man for cutting the line. He was just meeting his wife who was already checking in her groceries! - Price hikes!! Bagels by the bag jumped from $3.99 to $5.99 in the past few years. - Today the potatoes were scarce, cilantro wilted, pea pods soft! I gave 2 stars for the rewards discount.

This place is ok. They have basically everything I need but more pricey. I'm just probably spoiled in Las Vegas where everything a little bit cheaper plus my store discount from Kroger store. Produce are clean and so many salads choices and so far all of them I tried are pretty good. Cashiers are very helpful and friendly that I must say. Sadly I've been to the deli many many times since I moved here from Las Vegas even there store sister Albertsons the deli workers are friendly and helpful. When they see anyone waiting Albertson's deli employees will tell you "Be right there with you in the moment". Yes I was spoiled back home. Safeway deli worker they are not friendly, made me wait for 10 minutes, while the workers walking back in forth right in front of me. Don't even ask if I need help, even if it's not your department at least ask and call someone to assist the customer. And when you ask for fresh fried chicken they tell you whatever they have out there. Now this is 4:30pm, this is when the fresh chicken should be coming out because if the rush hours where ppl getting off from work and heading to the store to pick up some dinner. My opinion sorry if I'm wrong but this deli department would cook fresh fried chicken and rotisserie for customers. But maybe I'm wrong how this Seaside CA Safeway run the deli department. I'll still shop here grocery wise but deli departments I'll pass.

I came in on Sunday and it was extremely busy. Marliese helped me in the deli and she was phenomenal. They were short staffed but man, she had a great attitude and made my sandwiches and salads perfectly. Your smile and kindness radiates!! Thankyou so much for your wonderful customer service and warm heart.

Each time I've been to this Safeway recently there have been dogs who are obviously not service dogs. They recently put a sign on the front door, but it is apparently not being enforced. This morning, there were two adorable puppies in a baby stroller. Service dogs are never allowed in shopping carts, chairs, or furniture. About two weeks ago two dogs got into a fight. There was also an unattended dog, sound asleep in the aisle of the produce section. I truly love dogs, but I also know that there are many people who are allergic and many people who are terrified from earlier experiences of being bitten. Bringing nonservice dogs into any place that sells food in California is completely illegal, for a reason.

Trying to call this store is a NIGHTMARE. I ordered a delivery last night, it didn't come. I tried to call the store. Spent 10 mins on hold, sent to the Floral dept, and one other person before getting to someone to reschedule the delivery.It's now the new time and it's not here. I try to call again. I get bounced around and end up at the deli. The nice man tells me he can't transfer me and to call back.WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOUR PHONES?Why ask me to select a department where there are no humans to answer the phone?Why send me to the floral dept when I clearly stated my grocery delivery didn't arrive?Why send me to the deli dept. when I stated I'm calling about a grocery delivery?I'm over it. I am going to go there in person to get my groceries if they don't arrive tonight.I hope someone sees this and does something about their phones.This isn't the first time this has happened to me. I drove over there once before when I couldn't get a person on the phone.This is not acceptable.

This store is known for its terrible service, dirty grocery checkout counters. So disappointing, I was curious why the checker bagged the lady ahead of me groceries but not mine? Terribly rude and maybe discriminatory. Not going back

Worst floral dept. Don't waste your time or money. Do the expect your order to be filled or for then to have any sympathy for their mistakes.
Always a great selection of foods, beverages and supplies at a reasonable price. Club card always gives extras savings and rewards so it makes it worth it. Store is always clean. Employees are always helpful and polite. Outside has great lighting in the evening with ample parking.

Came here to get some stuff for grams chicken. They were out of like 3 ingredients which sucks because why can't they just get more for the shelf you can't tell me everybody bought all the chili crisp right before I walked in the stuffs been out for days. The cheese game on point tho, veggies be looking good also

Saturday 24.09.2022Well I decided to try this Safeway early this morning at 05:35. I was the only customer in the store wearing a mask and was surprised how many people were shopping. I had one young man with a broken finger help me and we had a bit of small talk. Another young man stocking the aisles cussing like a drunken sailor was complaining about the manager and Albertson's. Even the cashier said she hates Albertson's and said they ruined this store. Many shelves are empty and the fruit and produce don't look as good as when Safeway ran this store. Was trying to find a cake and the bakery sucks. No good choices anymore and the quality of the baked goods just aren't very good. Safeway is no longer a good community grocery store and has become a corporate nightmare.

The Safeway Bakery had the perfect 'last minute' cake when no other bakery in the area did. It was a late Saturday afternoon and they had a good selection.

As noted before this Safeway seems pretty well stocked given Covid. I have to correct that mistake. It seems well stocked because a significant amount of inventory is expired. Not expired yesterday I mean expired last year.The store remains clean probably all those staff have nothing to do since they don't have to clear out the shelves.
