I lived in Delano 1989 through 1998. It was a pilgrimage to go to this place again I swear and nothing has changed same little old ladies and the same appearance on the inside and as usual a line out the door at 7:00 in the morning. I got enough goodies for four people. Dropped 60 bucks and it was worth every penny. The jalapeno rolls are amazing and the rice cakes are exactly like I remember them.

The younger guy has no gloves 🧤 and he was scratching his nose and then massaging the dough.
Great pastries, great prices, always busy but worth the wait. A Delano staple

Been going here for decades. Pan de sal is tasty but getting smaller and smaller for the price. Lady fingers are good too. The only bad thing is the long wait because of the only one cashier and server.

I ordered pan de sol and lady fingers. I preferred the latter. The plus side is that it’s conveniently located right off the exit with easy return to the freeway. Everyone in line seemed to order the pan de sol. The ladies quickly take your order and keep the line moving.
One of the few things I miss about living in Delano is this little bakery.
The bread rolls are good. I didn't get to try the lady fingers because they couldn't keep up with the orders, but there were only 3 other people in the bakery. Don't get the lumpia, there was no filling in the lumpia. There was a little orange color inside but I think it was carrot. Kinda disappointed.

We visited this place a week before Thanksgiving 2024, after lunch.
There's no crowd and we were served quickly. The place is clean and organize. Wit a small dining are for those who might want to dine in. But most of their customers are grab and go.
They have a lot of delicious and affordable breads you can choose from. Their famous lady finders and their coconut bread / pandecoco in Filipino.
Their breads are freshly made and you could order ahead.
Overall, I highly recommend this bakery. Delicious and affordable.
Kid-friendliness: They do sell a lot of sweet breads that most kids would love. And since this Bake shop do a lot of charity work with school, their breads are definitely kid friendly.
