My girlfriend and I came here based on Google reviews. When we went in, the place was completely empty. Not just no customers, but no employees either. A neighboring business told us they have never seen anybody there.

The owner of this place has quite the reputation. Just look at their Google Reviews "fuentes steakhouse in diamond springs" about him. After meeting him personally several times at this restaurant, I respectfully send caution to all patrons who DO NOT want to "just hope for the best here" with food quality and your overall service experience. Spend your money elsewhere with people you can trust! Hopefully 1 day this fella will do what is right, and drastically improve the experience of his guests and also employees. Best of luck El Dorado County Friends & Family.

Have not heard great things Price, service and actual food Never NEVER any traffic at this place so I do y think I'd like to go sit alone with my wife Too bad Was hoping after Beef and Brew that we might have another popular eatery in our little Diamond Springs town MUCH rather go to Cameron Park and enjoy good food and beer at MoonRaker!

4 adults plus one child. Nobody was satisfied with the food. We were the only people in the restaurant. I ordered the honey mustard chicken wrap. It came with regular mustard. I asked for a side of honey mustard. They brought regular mustard out. I asked if they even had honey mustard. The waitress replied yes and walked away. The waitress then stood by our table laughing at our personal conversation and adding her two sense once in a while. Weird experience very expensive for below par food. There's a reason it's rated below 4 stars and if you want to know about the owner just read the replies to negative reviews. He can't see the sign that says the customer is important. The one that.all successful business can see. He argues with the people coming to eat there.

We had a great time at Fuentes Steakhouse. Josh, the owner was extremely nice and one could easily see that he really loves and cares about his business. We highly recommend it, and will definitely go back.

Absolutely wonderful restaurant and customized brunch! Chef Josh gets 5 stars for creativity to suit the palate. Tastefully creative decor - marvelous atmoshpere.

Incredibly bad food at this place. The servers were nice both times but the kitchen is excruciatingly slow. Save your money. Go anywhere else until they figure something out here.

I agree with Rob C. As soon as they run out of investment capital, they will be out of business. The 5 star reviews are from friends and family.

New restaurant in Diamond Springs Ca. Limited dinner menu mostly steak (obviously) but very expensive! They are newly opened and when we visited they didn't serve alcohol at all (waiting for license, I guess). Service was slow, even though we were the only guests for the first hour we were there -- I think they are still training and learning. They did offer us a complementary appetizer that was very tasty. OK back to those prices! Ribeye steak was $75, Rack of lamb $50, New York Strip steak $55. I would call this EXTREMELY overpriced (especially for Placerville/Diamond Springs area), and for the quality of the food, service and (lack of) drinks. Several restaurants in this area far outshine this place (The Independent, Smith Flat House are a couple). I will not return unless they reprice the menu to be more reasonable/competitive and they start serving alcohol.

I am not writing a review to complain but to educate the owner of my experience. And if I were the owner I would want to know. Upon entering my wife and I waited long enough, more than usual. So to get recognized I went into the kitchen to alert someone. We did get seated, but quickly realized that the only server was the one who seated us. It was not crowded at all and before we could order 2 others that were seated AFTER us left from lack of service. The presentation was nice once the food finally arrived. I ordered a $75 rib eye and everything was warm enough but I have never seen this cut of meat ever. Don't know what it was but I know for a fact it was not a rib eye. I do know how hard it is to run a restaurant as my mother owned one for 26 yrs. So I do think the owners should concentrate on staffing first then the rest will be so much more easier for customers as well as staff to please more people. Waiting too long for a table or the food does spoil the dining experience no matter how good the rest of the presentation is. The Placerville area is way too short on nice steakhouses so we hope the best for this one.

Had breakfast here on a Saturday morning. I had the biscuits & gravy with two eggs, and my wife had the eggs Benedict. All the eggs were cooked perfectly, and the hollandaise was made from scratch! The food was very good, but we had a couple of suggestions. First off, we love fresh squeezed OJ, and we would suggest adding it to the menu. The biscuits inside were fluffy, but the bottoms & outsides were a bit crunchy. The gravy was not as smooth & creamy as I prefer, and I wish the serving was larger. Also, I would suggest adding sausage patties to the menu. My wife had the "Country Potatoes", and they were over down. We love going out to breakfast, and we encourage everybody to checkout Fuente's Steakhouse for breakfast. We look forward to trying their huevos rancheros & omelette's, which we've heard good things about.

Unfortunately, I didn't order anything but let me explain what happened.I decided to try this place even after looking at the other reviews. It was Sunday morning around 11:30 AM. It wasn't busy as I only saw one table outside that was full. I walked inside through the doors and was greeted by a rather nicely decorated restaurant. To my right was probably 15 tables with five of them full. To my left with a section that appeared to be closed, but had another 10 tables in there. I stood at the entrance for about five minutes and then was greeted by a rather attractive, dark-haired waitress. She smiled and said just a minute I'll be with you as she walked past me and outdoors to the full table. A couple of minutes later she came back in and said I'll be right with you as she walked past me, back into the kitchen area. It was another 4 to 5 minutes she came back out and said that somebody will be with me in just a second. So far I've waited around 10 minutes no big deal right, but remember the restaurant is nearly empty with only about 20% of the seating taken. So I wait another about five more minutes and then a blond waitress walked out. Ask me how many people are in the party. I told her just one and she started walking off no hi how are you, Follow me or nothing, she just walked off. OK then I guess I'll follow her. She kept on walking rather fast. She looked back at me and I said, am I supposed to be following you or what? I was a little perturbed she didn't say anything. she put the menu down on the table. I assume this was my table I guess. WTF???So I sat down. She asked me what I wanted to drink and I told her a coffee would be nice. She walked away and I looked down at the menu and notice it was for only lunch. Well here goes another wait. After a few minutes, I got up being fed up with the service that was nonexistent, rude, and very unprofessional. Walked out and on my way asked the attractive waitress as she was standing near the kitchen, are you not serving breakfast? She said they still are but at this point I was getting pretty heated and decided I'll just leave as there was absolutely no respect from the blonde waitress whatsoever.Long story short this place sucks!!!So I'll give this restaurant maybe six more months before it goes out of business I would even be surprised if it lasted three more months. The old saying is it only takes one employee to ruin your business, and I'll point my finger at the dirty, blonde haired waitress I guess we're calling her that today! No next time here!

Went for breakfast and was so disappointed in this new place. Please hire a good cook or quit breakfast!Flap jacks were flops. I have never seen so flat a pancake that wasn't called a crepe (awesome crepes next door at Allez, btw), and for fifteen bucks (2 eggs, two bacon strips, two cakes) do they need black grease smeared on them from a dirty grill? Have some pride! The scrambled eggs were not fluffy, but were hard and scattered about the plate. Hard to even get on a fork. Bacon was bacon. Potatoes looked like they were two days old, reheated. How do chunks of red potatoes look deflated? No decaf coffee, that's okay. Iced tea is out of the coke dispenser, not for me but I ask, so okay.I haven't been there for a steak dinner yet, but this very pricey and not very good meal doesn't instill confidence that the evening shift shows the love on the plate either.Great service staff. Just needs better management support to learn the menu. No management on site at the time.
