Not only did I have the pleasure of eating lunch here with my mother and mother-in-law, but we also chose Bud's as our caterer for my father's Celebration of Life at the Olde Vets Hall. Cherie, the coordinator for the Olde Vets Hall, works through this restaurant for payments, etc, making everything super easy. We catered a lunch for the memorial, and the food was ALL excellent. We ordered Salad, Potatoes, Vegetables, Tri-tip with Gorgonzola Sauce (You could put it on a shoe and it would be delicious) Chicken in Lemon Caper Sauce, Veggie Lasagna (The leftovers showrunner for us, we have fed on it for days without flavor fatigue) Sourdough bread, and the berry pies for dessert. We also opted to get a bartender for a cocktail hour, and everyone raved about the drinks! The servers were also very attentive, and kept water pitchers on the table full, and worked tirelessly to clear the tables when everyone was done. Both Bud's and the Olde Vets Hall are cool buildings. The bar at the restaurant is stunning, with many mounted hunting trophies. The dark wood provides a historic California vibe that is really nice. The booths are spacious, and the waitstaff is friendly at table or bar. I couldn't be happier with the quality of the food and the service, and the price, considering the MOUNTAIN of leftovers we will be feeding on until Christmas. Thank you to Cherie and the gang for making one of the hardest days for my family one of the best by the end.

If you wonder why nobody sits at the bar to watch the big screens try it with those bar lights glaring in your eyes so bad you can barely see the beer taps and trying to watch TV is just flat annoying with them. GET THEM ON A DIMMER....!!!

ZERO STARS- GOOGLE ONLY LETS ME DO ONE THINK TWICE BEFORE COMING HERE NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY AT ALL RACISM! POOR CATERING! HORRIBLE BAR SERVICE! Some of my family are regular customers that enjoy dining and drinking here. But they had experienced some racism at the bar! Someone had backhandely said a very offensive racial slur about one of them. What year are we in to be saying racial slurs! Oh and get this! The WOMAN BARTENDER (the one that looks like Mick Jagger) had proceeded to laugh at this so called joke. What is so funny about that? They tried standing up for themselves and proceeded to get kicked out and told not to come back to the establishment. Those people are some real pieces of work! Honestly, it’s really sad they lost some regular customers over this. This establishment is entirely cliquey and very serving to the good ol’ boys. Very small minded establishment that clearly hasn’t caught the memo that we are in 2025! Notice how I didn’t have to mention race? Is that so hard to do nowadays when complaining?!

I ransomly picked this spot on google, and i had no regrets. It was a beautiful, quiet place. I loved the ambiance and the service. We had no wait time, we were seated immediately we arrived. I ordered the ceasar Cobb salad, and it was great. My son had the mozzarella sticks from the appetizer. They paid attention to details on my order. If I drive through Dixon again, I will be happy to stop by for the salad.
Had the worst experience ever, not only do they have a very unorganized system they allow minors in the bar & allow the minors too drink without Identification.

We held a Celebration of Life (34 people) for our beloved Joyce Tinsley. The private dining area was perfect—comfortable, welcoming, and beautifully set up for our gathering. The food was delicious, and every detail was handled thoughtfully. What stood out the most was the staff: they were attentive, respectful, and genuinely committed to making the day special for our family.
During an emotional time, they gave us peace of mind and helped create a beautiful, memorable event that truly honored Joyce. We are so grateful and will always remember the exceptional service and warm hospitality we received here.

Waited over 35 mins to ger order after asking three times.. waitress was rude and advised me no way we were there that long.. excuse me I was on phone with husband 10 minutes in to advise we stopped for lunch. Tritip sandwich was so tough could not eat it. Order was not right.. mixed up ordered missed food.. Ugghhh as resident of Dixon... never going back. They use to have the best service and food.. not so much now... I understand busy but asked for service over three times as new tables came in and ordered right away.. was the same for table across the way... sucked in worst way ever...
