Went here for family Sunday breakfast. First time in the restaurant and Dixon. Was pleased with the overall quality of the dining room, bar, menu and the selected dishes. Kids chose from the kids menu- usual selection of kids meals. I enjoyed my omelette. The coffee was good too. If I find myself in Dixon in the future I'll make a point of stopping in.
Kid-friendliness: Kids menu had a choice of items that the children ( aged 3, 5, and 8) seemed to enjoy.

First time we didn't know what to expect.. not alot of room for a sit down dinner... but after waiting at the bar for an open table and settling in it was great!! The Tuscan Chicken was amazing.. the pizza was delish and the mezcal Old Fashioned was Perfect!! Would definitely recommened.. but atmosphere is as it's named.. bar and grill!! ✌️

Hi, my husband and I usually go to Dawsons 1 or 2 per week but we noticed that the food isn’t consistent. I used to like your onion rings they were crunchy and flavorful. My son loved the chicken Ortega sandwich his favorite. Now gone from the menu and the onion rings are now greasy and made differently. I also ordered the Mac and cheese with chicken and it was served cold. My son and husbands waited 20 minutes before being served their food. We all ordered at the same time. I know your prices went up as well and our food portion was smaller but Please talk to your cooks you’re the only restaurant we like in Dixon food wise. We would hate to stop dining at your location. I’m all about supporting family owned businesses.

Food is great. Recently increased their prices but that is expected due to gentrification (houses selling for 900k) and rising costs of everything. Water has a very strong earthy and metallic taste. I am used to well water, this is distasteful. Charge high prices, expect more perfection, hence the four stars. Will continue to come but may bring my own water.

We were visiting from Arizona and had breakfast one morning and dinner a few days later. Highly recommend the chicken fried steak & eggs for breakfast and the potatoes are to die for. So good!

It's pretty annoying when the waiter chooses not to write down our order, and then gets it wrong. Service was slow. Seemed like they may be working through some staffing issues.
The employees are so rude. The menu isn't the best. It smells awful the 2 times I went in.

We went this evening to be so disappointed. Normally order Fish n Chips unfortunately they changed their brand and most of all Quality. If I wanted a Gortons Fish Fillet with minced fish meat then I would of bought a box from super Market and served those with Oreidas fries at home. Usually they serve nice pieces of Cod. Always in the past been Good. Tonight's Quality and Quantity was lack there of. $18.50 for 1 Piece of minced Fish and my husband had literally 16 bits and pieces of French fry on his plate. He was still hungry when we left. According to waitress there have been several complaints so I'm glad we aren't only customers to complain. Waitress took our Dinner off Bill we paid for our beverages and tipped her nicely because it's not her fault. Word to the Owner: In this economy when people want to dine out and come to spend their hard earned money on a nice meal Don't Cut Corners on your Quality of Food. Otherwise you will find customers will make other dining choices and boycott your business and eventually your business will suffer. We won't be back anytime soon. We DON'T recommend the Fish n Chips

Decent food, bad service on several occasions. Whenever I dine here I have to ask and/or find the wait staff to place my order. Waitress repeated order 3x and still got it wrong, had to remind staff of a missing item, which was delivered as we were packing up to leave.I like this place for drinks and appetizers, dining in is difficult and frustrating.
