The Punjabi Dhaba in Dixon is delightful for its lack of pretense and good food. It is located at a freeway exit and the entrance to the restaurant is quite dangerous at night. Regardless, it is nice to find good north Indian food in the Sacramento area which has surfeit of bad Indian restaurants. The restaurant is convenient for truckers and hence is called a Dhaba. We ordered Chole, sag paneer, chicken biryani and mango lassi. All the dishes were tasty and not too spicy. It was the best Punjabi food we had eaten in some time. It was also a good value. The restaurant was fairly empty when we went there on a weekday evening and the surroundings were simple, but quite serviceable. A very nice dinner experience.
Delicious food and nice vibes.

If you're passing through on a Saturday or a Sunday they have a really good all-you-can-eat buffet. One of the best deals in the area and it's very good food. The food on the regular menu is very good and it is affordable. I would say their dishes are about $3 cheaper than places in Vacaville. And you can buy coffee ice cream bars for $3 each, which I thought was kind of expensive but now that I've been to an Indian food store I realized it's a good price also and they are delicious.
Vegetarian options: It's an Indian restaurant so vegetarian is we major part of their diet, thus their menu is loaded with vegetarian options
Parking: Plenty of open parking right off the freeway and even though it is a great place to eat it is usually not very busy the times that I have been there but I go at odd times I never been there during dinner or a regular rush for lunch
Wheelchair accessibility: Flat parking lot with plenty of parking and a easy access to the front door

The food was alright , chai and Saag paneer were the best but the attitude of the lady / owner was very unfriendly and unwelcoming.Buffet is value for money but some of the dishes weren’t fresh. Their restrooms were gross .
We arrived somewhat late for lunch on Saturday, the buffet was still well stocked and fresh, they added food as we went thru the line. Food was delicious, and quite plentiful, and the staff friendly and efficient. Lunch was $13.99 per person, I think a bargain, especially considering the quality of the food.
It’s a gem! Aloo paratha was mind blowing good. Everything was good. We had dal makhani and veg zalfezi with a few paranthas. Service was simple. It’s worth your detour! They were also very kind and made no chili/mild aloo parantha for my kids.
Very very delicious punjabi Indian food here ? , very clean restaurant . Truck parking also ! Definitely come back for sure
