To whom this may concern This was my first time here at Gacho Grill and I came for my birthday, and I really wanted to say I had a pleasant experience however it was subpar. The reason being mostly came down to the service the food and the ambience was great however, our server made a few mistakes such as forgetting one of our appetizers and bringing it late and bringing out a wrong order for our main entrée. Although the entrée was replaced in a timely manner throughout the service, the server did not really check up on us regarding drinks or how the food tasted outside of his mistake which he would later. Make sure to check that the food was good on the mistake order. I wanted to order another drink, however, either because he was too busy with the amount of tables that he had or he may have neglected us. I hope that this feedback can provide a better experience for someone in the future however, I'm unsure if I will return for another visit. Thank you for this opportunity to share my feedback.
I wanted to take my parents out for a nice dinner for my dad's birthday. Im always worried about the ambience or service because it can really taint our experience but it was lovely. Thank you to the hostess and server on tuesday afternoon outdoor. We had a fabulous time. We are looking forward to go again.
Staff was very friendly and made excellent recommendations as it was our first time dining here. Made my mother in laws birthday a good experience. Thank you to the staff and chefs for the delicious food and excellent customer service.
This was our first visit there and certainly not our last. The empanadas were outstanding. They also recently opened a little mercado at the Downey location. We went there, bought some stuff, and wished we would have bought more. Can't wait to return for dinner as this visit was for lunch only.
We really enjoy the food, but unfortunately, the service does not match its quality. The staff seems unhappy, and our waitress took our order and then disappeared. We waited more than 20 minutes for a water refill and tried to get the attention of other waitstaff, but they pretended not to see us. I have concerns about the management of this restaurant. I hope the service can be improved because I would love to return for the food. As someone who worked at a restaurant as a postgraduate student, I am not a picky customer.
We had to wait a long time for the main courses. My meat was over cooked. My friend was disappointed with her fish. The first two courses were nummy and arrived in a timely manner and then it went downhill from there. Our desserts were good though.
Our meal was delicious. We ordered white sangria and it was fine. The sangria here is usually very good but this time it just tasted like pure alcohol. Out server Daniella was excellent. She kept checking in on us and food came out without us having to wait too long. The noise was another story. I know it's not the restaurants fault but right next to us were 3 children just running around the restaurant without any of the parent's supervision. I'm sure someone from the restaurant could have said something to the family that for safety reasons they should take care of their children.
Everything was excellent with the exception of the service. Server didn't really check on us after we received our food. I needed salt and pepper and when I asked, it was never brought to me. Other than that, it's a good place to eat.
I took my father today to Gaucho Grill in Downey for Father's Day and ordered the ULTIMATE PARRILLADA. Unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. To start, the platter was cold upon arrival. The Entrana meat was undercooked, while the chicken was overcooked and dry. The molleja, along with the vegetables, were also cold. Adding to our frustration, we were not brought plates when the food arrived. When we informed the waiter, he responded with, “Let me see if I can find plates for you,” which was quite disheartening. We expressed our dissatisfaction with both the food and the service to the waiter. He offered to reheat the food and provide us with vegetables to go, but we declined. My father, who was looking forward to this meal, was particularly upset by the poor customer service and the low quality of the food. Overall, our experience at Gaucho Grill was far from satisfactory. The combination of cold and improperly cooked food, along with inadequate service, made for a very disappointing Father's Day meal. I hope the management takes these issues seriously and works to improve both their food quality and customer service.
First of all had to wait 50 minutes even though I had a reservation. Then waited another 20 after being sat to see a waiter. Ordered the most expensive steak on the menu, tomahawk ribeye medium rare. It came out well-done. Very disappointing when your spending that kind of money. Had to wait for a redo and it was cooked properly but this is now 2 hours after being sat before we at. 3 hours after my reservation time. Server was unapologetic and no manager to be found! I won't return!

The service was as usual, friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Our tomahawk and bone-in rib eye were not cooked as we ordered, and when it was returned to our table, it was a bit on the dry side. The reservations are always easy to make which is very much appreciated.
My wife ordered the spinach ravioli which came out cold. I ordered the sea bass which was not a good cut of fish for the money. The only thing that was good was the service. Will not be back, too expensive for the overall experience.
I went for Mother's Day and I should've know better! They were out of everything and no substitutions were allowed. Our reservation was at 7pm, I would've appreciated a call letting us know about their limited menu so we maybe looked elsewhere. The worst part is that they increased their prices and a small mezcal drink was $22.
We came for Mother's Day, with the family. Had such a good time, the drinks were amazing. The Wait time wasn't to bad. One of our favorite restaurants. We have been coming to this restaurant for over 2 years now, and we have yet to be disappointed.
Always a pleasure eating at Gauchos Grill, the food is always delicious and the Red Sangrias are always amazing. Our server was polite and attentive and was always making sure our order was delivered to our table. I have dine here a couple of times and they never disappoint. Definitely recommend for any occasion they have a children's menu available which makes it perfect for family dining.
