Although the business says Fish and Chips, it's very reminiscent of the old H Salt Fish and Chips that I remember as a kid. I think the building is an H Salt that went out of business. I'm glad the owner took it over and continued the same type of business. I love it here... nostalgia and good food.

Eaten here many times the best fish and chips in Downey for sure. Incredibly fresh cut onion rings. It's hard to find something fresh cut these days. Come here you won't regret it.

My fiancé and I drive past this place on our way home. One day we decided to stop by and give it a try. NO REGRETS. The nice gentleman fresh cooks your order after you order it so its nice and hot. The pieces of fish he provides are LARGE. (I compared the fish with my hand for reference). He is very friendly and the place itself is cozy. It has 3 small tables for couples and 3 larger booths to seat 4 people. The fish is soft with a flakey crunchy finish. And chips are crunchy and evenly salted so its so satisfying to eat. Plus he adds the crunchy batter crumbs! - this place is CASH ONLY.- order the onion rings, they're DELICIOUS.- Hush puppies are really good too. Delicate, flavorful, and crunchy!I am excited to try the shrimp next
