First time here and it was for a birthday dinner. Food was tasty, but they were out of what I wanted to order and it was very early in the evening. Empanadas from short ribs were absolutely light and flaky on the outside with a delicious blend of seasonings. Chimchurri sauces were excellent. Would definitely go back, and hopefully they'll have the filet mignon next time.

Gaucho Grill has a variety of excellent alcoholic drinks. Their food menu is diverse from burgers to excellent cuts of meat. For two people order a cut of meat gaucho style which includes 2 sides. Include 2 empanadas and you have an excellent fulfilling meal. I visit them frequently so I joined their reward program and discounts really add up. Try Gaucho Grill it won't disappoint.

This is our go-to spot when we are in Downey. Perfect drinks (the best old fashioned you'll ever have). Perfect steaks (toss up between the rib eye & pichana). And absolutely amazing service. A must try!!!

My wife brought me here and it was my first time. I ordered the short ribs and spinach. One out of the two pieces of meat I had they over cooked it. But it still tasted good. My wife's food was great she had some chicken. It was a nice place, very clean and awesome. It was a total vibe. They have music playing while you eat and it was nice I can't lie. My daughter and her friend found this place and my wife fell in love every since. I will definitely come back to try some other stuff on the menu.

I really want to give this a second try. We shared the Partillada plate for two. It had a sampling of different cuts from the menu. The sausage was delicious as were the baby lamb chops. All the rest was extremely tough. The short rib was inedible. I literally had jaw fatigue. This is definitely not prime or even choice beef. In fact the I’m certain that it is select grade at best. The atmosphere is nice though. I think I’d like to try it for a burger or HH or just appetizers. An overall 3 Stars is the right grade for Gaucho.

Poor service. Food was brought out late, didnt come around and ask if we needed anything. Paid over $300 & had to box my own food & use foil .... didnt ask if we need another drink or asked we need anything till the bill was brought over didnt bring a new set of plates when steak was brought out we had small plates used for appetizer

I ordered the rib cap medium, it came out well done and tasted like flank steak. The other parties ordered medium rare and it looked more like a rib cap. I think they are deceptive with bait and switch. I would never hold business meetings here, my clients were less than stellar with what we received.
EDIT in response: I will not give your restaurant another chance, it's deceiving to pay $55 to receive a well done flank steak when I ordered a medium rib eye cap.
