I stopped by for a late night snack. There was a line, but the service was quick, so the line moved quickly. I ordered a small, and it was a decent sized portion. They have a variety of flavors to choose from and plenty of cone options. I ordered the birthday cake in a sprinkle cone. My husband ordered the vanilla with oreo in a cone with nuts. They do mention on the menu which flavors include nuts for those that are allergic. Would come back to this location!Parking: This ice cream shop is located in a plaza with plenty of parking spots available.

Stopped for ice cream today employee at the register told me they don’t sell single scoops. You have to buy three scoops or more. She also was kind enough to offer to give me one scoop as long as I paid for three scoops, stay away from this place.

it was hot & i was in the mood for ice cream. i'd been to the long beach location so decided to compare to the downey location since i was in the neighborhood. pretty much the same; 1] in a mall. 2] creamy ice cream 3] 'flavors' disappoint not flavorful but weak. if the title of the ice cream is one thing it should taste like it. some posters on here are waxing lyrical on flavors exploding in their mouth. so far i've had 4 flavors & none exploded. 2 were average & 2 underachievers. [underachievers = 1. toasted almond at Downey, extremely light on the almond taste. 2. chocolate raspberry at long Beach, chocolate was ok, couldn't taste the raspberry at all.] I am assuming the ice cream makers know they have to put in twice a much flavor for it to 'taste' right in a frozen product [as freezing takes the flavors down a few notches.]

The ice cream is delicious here ! You can get the sampler and try 4 different flavors ! The scoops are not too big and not too small for the sampler just perfect ! They can be a little slow at times but other than that it's a must check out place !

Love love love Handel's! Their ice cream is the best and the customer service is exceptional! So many flavors to choose from, we usually get the sampler. Wish we had a closer location!

Apparently they are now doing something that just rubs me the wrong way and is rather obnoxious...as soon as you order, they bring their little credit card device over with the screen prompting for a tip! I thought I had to pay, they said "no not yet, just select one of the options." They're asking for a tip before they even do anything, blew my mind. I selected No Tip. They close the window and come back 30 seconds later with the device again so I can pay. This is just a big turn off.
My fiancé took me to this place and every time I'm in the neighborhood I make it one of my stops . Fan of the rocky road and pistachio .

My trip to handles was just a five star experience, parking was available lines were reasonable, but flowing fast due to great customer service. I was helped by a young lady named Destiny and she was so patient with me when I was looming for a new flavor, her recommendations on flavors were amazing and the banana cream pie that she told me was good ended up being a 10 out of 10. If only she could get a raise for her kindness, knowledge, and patience. Honestly a 10 out of 10 experience at this handles compared to others.
