The food is some of the best Mexican food in the LA area, but please explain why every time we come here there's a 25+ minute wait when there are empty tables everywhere. This is bad customer service. We would understand if every table was occupied

Unfortunately the food is actually not good. And so is the service, when we were seated the waiter took a long time and didn’t acknowledge us until later and when our food arrived and asked a lady for some salsa. She never brought it and ignored us.
Large groups beware if they mis count your party they won't sit you until everyone is there. They kept miscounting our party and arguing with us that everyone wasn't there. Extremely rude.

I had posted this review below five years ago. I had a 5 start review but today 11/10/25 had the worse experience ever. Samantha, the hostess who was not even our waitress gave us the worse service ever. Her attitude was so mean. She is clearly unhappy there. I don't know if she is the owner but she sure acted like if she didn’t give a dammm about the customers, the way she welcomes the people is so weird, she literally look at my daughter from head to toe and shut my son up when he told her a table for 3, the way she throws the plate onto the table, and the way she literally argued with me when I ask her if she could fix my order to go (she put two large birria cups with all the ingredients on top of a carne asada plate, the birria tilted over and before I even walk down the stairs the broth was all over the carne asada plate). She scolded me when I walked back inside, and told me to be careful how I pick up and hold the bag so it won’t happened again and her looked was full of anger. She rolled her eyes when I told her, “thank you but I know how to hold a bag.” She said, “pues entonces haga lo que se le pegue la gana y ballase” she pushed the bags towards me and walk away. She made a hand gesture up in the air, as she walked away. I was in shock, it was unbelievable. After so many years of coming, my family and I will no longer be coming to this restaurant.
Great customer service, all the employees seem happy, enthusiastic. Love this place. I have been coming almost every weekend.

Beautiful restaurant and delicious food with good portions. Only thing they need is better service and for them to accept Amex as payment.I had a party of 16 and they took forever to help us. They wanted to sit us in two different tables because they didn’t want to add a small table to accommodate our party.

Good ambiance & spacious for private talks, poor service as waitress/server never got back to check up on us. Food seems delicious at first sight but yet needs that special top notch touch! Flavor! Then tortillas seemed a little pinkish... the horchata is delicious for sure! Spacious parking! Clean..stocked bar! Overall a 3!

Absolutely great. To start, there is plenty of parking available. Big parking lot. The building is very nice. The decor is really nice there. Authentic Mexican restaurant. We were greeted and waited approximately 40 minutes to be seated. We were a large group. Everyone ordered different plates and everyone loved the food. I had the “Codornices” and they are FANTASTIC! The plate is very well seemed and the food quality is great. Freshly made, hence they take a little longer bringing that out because they are fried. Highly recommend this place. I will return often here.

My boyfriend and I went there for lunch on this Monday. The place is very beautiful on the inside but the service was very poor. Most of the waitresses are very young and careless we were there for over an hour and one of the waitress was talking to what must’ve been a friend the entire time we were there. Then about 30 min later our waitress finally brought our food but after that she only checked up on us once and when we were finished and wanted to ask for the check she was nowhere to been seen we looked around and the other waitress were in the back just talking, laughing and one of them was eating. so we finally had to flag down another waitress to ask for the check she then said she would let our waitress know so she finally came and just left the check and again she was nowhere to be seen so we got up and starting walking towards the exit and there she was behind the register talking with another waitress it was our first time there so we didn’t know we had to walk towards the exit to pay plus the register wasn’t even visible from where we were sitting. She could’ve at least let us know we had to pay by the exit instead of having us wait there an extra 10 min.

The service at this restaurant was absolutely terrible. When we arrived, we informed the host that we were a party of 18, with half of us already seated and the other half arriving in cars. She mentioned that the tables were only for 14 people, but there were available tables right next to each other. We agreed that was fine, but then, as our other half arrived and was halfway through the restaurant, a couple sat at the other available table. Without explanation, they moved the other half of our party to the front of the restaurant. When we asked why we couldn't get the first table offered to us, she mentioned that those were the owners who had just sat there, which was fine. However, she could have explained the situation to the owners, who might have been understanding enough to let us use the other side of the table that they weren't using. She was too scared to approach them.
We asked to wait on our order for a bit, which she said was fine, but they never came to check on us at all. Thirty minutes past, a table opened up closer to our party, so we asked to move to that table. They weren't willing to move us until finally, they did.
Once we got to the table, we tried to find our waitress. Once we found her, we waved her down and told her that we liked to order. With attitude she rudely told us that this wasn't her section and walked away without offering to find the waitress in that section. We had to approach the hostess to ask who would be our waitress.
I thought the food would make up for the bad service, but unfortunately, it didn't. The food was flavorless.
