Get the Bubble gum ice cream !!! You won’t be disappointed . Tamales de elote are bomb the esquites and tortas ! Everything is very fresh , my only complaint is sometimes it’s dirty so we don’t sit there and eat . Other than that 9/10

Look at your food before leaving/eating. My GF and I order fruits to go. There was mold on the fruits we order and luckily my GF was able to see it before we started eating the fruits. The place smells funky wouldn't recommend to eat there they do have a rate B on their establishment.

I stopped by Las Palmitas recently and got a raspado that absolutely hit the spot. It was perfectly icy, full of flavor, and made fresh with just the right amount of syrup and fruit. Super refreshing, especially on a hot day.
The staff was friendly and quick, and the whole place had a welcoming, local vibe. If you’re craving a good raspado or a classic Mexican snack, this spot is a hidden gem. I’ll definitely be back to try more!

Inside was filthy, smelled like a bathroom throughout the whole place. Unsanitary and with a B rating.
Delicious Street Elote and Yummy Raspados!
I liked the food but then I noticed they have a letter B! Also tried to call and place an order and they refused because they had a long line. What kind of business says no. Also the women who work here are always rude. They nickel and dime you for everything.
Really bad customer service!!!good stuff, but really rude.
The new people there are nasty. He didn’t wear gloves when grabbing fruit into my cup, and I did not see him wash his hands before starting to prepare my itmes….from the strawberries(so grey) and they were rotten- and the drinks are no longer made good anymore- they skimped out on chamoy in the chanamango
Torta Cubana is amazing! Best sandwich in all of Downey.

We ordered the esquite with the grilled corn, but it tasted like burnt corn not grilled. The guava honey tasted too much like cinnamon.

It's a shame to see this place be so empty nowadays. I remembered when palmitas was the place to stop for a quick bite and enjoy those delicious goodies. Unfortunately, it is not the same anymore.
The past few times I've been there, the girls at the register are rude and not friendly at all. They have poor customer service.
Not to mention that this place seems dirty as some of the tables had food stains and crumbs from the previous costumers, There's trash on the floor, and tables need to be wiped down.
I don't know if they've changed ownership, but this place is not what it used to be.
There's a .75cents charge every time you use your debit card.
I give this place 1☆ for their poor customer service.

Very bad for the person who served me since I took my order, with latex gloves everything was very good, she charged me and returned the change but she herself prepared what I ordered but she never changed gloves 05/10/2024
