Terrible. Nice but overworked staff. Downtrodden decor.,Not the Mimi's I remember. Needs an overhaul or this location will close.
Good service great club sandwich
Back again for another great breakfast! This time I enjoyed a Chorizo Omelet. There is a must-see video!
I had a great breakfast experience at this restaurant. Even though it was busy, I was seated promptly.
My waitress, Leticia, was incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive, making me feel comfortable and welcomed despite my dining alone (I know, so sad!)
I ordered a three-egg omelet with mushrooms, bacon, and brie cheese, which was very good.
I remember that there used to be many more Mimi's Cafes in the past, and I am glad to have found this one!

My mother was craving a French Onion so we decided to go to Mimi’s . It was the worst experience !!! Our waiter Daniel was one of the worst waiters I have ever had eating out at restaurants!!! Once we ordered our food Daniel did not tell us there wasn’t any Onion Soup until he was bringing bread ! We decided to order Hamburgers and when he brought the food the burgers were horrific !! The meat was dry and the plate had little fries in it ! For $17.99 I could have gotten a better burger at In-N-Out! I can see why Mimi’s Cafe is so empty now . The food is horrible !
Daniel never stoped by our table to ask if our food was good nor asked us for drink refills ! It is a waiters job to service customers and Daniel did not do that! To the manger of the Downey Mimi’s Cafe please train your waiters to do better than this !

Service was very slow very slow to bring out the food . We had a reservation didn't get seated til 30 minutes later and our food came 30 minutes later .
Thanksgiving preset meal was delicious. Choice of soup or salad, main course full of all the fixings and then choice of dessert. For Thanksgiving, I'd highly suggest to RSVP in advance.

I used to love Mimi's Café, but my recent visit was incredibly disappointing. I went in wanting a specific salmon plate and simply asked to substitute the veggies. The waiter was extremely rude, telling me, “You just can't,” without giving any explanation. When we asked why, he just repeated that we couldn't and insisted I order a different salmon with the sauce on the side. He walked away saying, “Well, just tell me when you want to order,” in the nastiest tone. A few minutes later he returned saying, “The manager said it was ok! Ok?”, again with attitude. Then 5–10 minutes after that, he came back to tell me, “Sorry, no more salmon. If you want, you can order something else.” I ended up ordering a simple two-egg plate, but even that was terrible. The eggs came out greasy, oily, and watery. Overall a horrible experience. The service was rude, rushed, and unprofessional. Sadly, I no longer recommend this place at all.

The food was good, we had got mimosas and the peach mimosas were the best of the 3 options available. The breakfast potatoes were seasoned perfectly. I gave them a 4 star only because the strawberries for the mimosas were so old. I seen some black spots on them so that was a little disappointing. It was an ok experience all around.

Mimi's has exceeded our expectations. Our Thanksgiving dinner was very very good. The onion soup was one the best ones I've had. The pumkin pie was outstanding. Real home made cooking with a french flavor. And their personel are always smiling. I will definetly return soon.
First of all we were seated at tables that had unsteady plastic chairs. Service was awful, our waiter brought food out to are party of six at different times where we could not start our meal together. Did not offer bread, never returned to refill our drinks and asked if we were going to the same residence after our meal so he could give us a whole pie to take??? Also when he brought our pie to us he informed us that the pie was frozen so he had to microwave it. Food was mediocre, sides were ok but the turkey was dry and smelled like it had been left out to spoil. Will never go to Mimi's for dinner ever again.
Daniel was very professional and friendly. We loved our meals .I really enjoyed the hot chocolate.will be back soon.
