I love Pepe's. I love the taquitos, tacos, burritos, enchiladas, rice, beans...everything. I'm sorry to see them leave. I hope they find a nearby spot to relocate to with a eat-in section and a drive thru for all their loyal customers. I know I would rather wait in a long line of cars for Pepe's food than for Canes or Chick-fil-a. Downey has enough drive thru chicken places but no decent drive thru Mexican food places.

I'm sad to see that this place is closing just to be replaced by a raising canes. Why take out a place with so much history in pico rivera just to be replaced by a restaurant that already has a location a few within a couple miles. You will be missed and good luck to all the employees of Pepe's I hope you find some work soon!

Sadly raising Cane's is pushing out the small business. They have been here for more than 30 years. It's really a sad situation the food at Pepe's is so much better than property grubbing raising Cane's!! Pepe's is being forced out. So sad

After reading the negative reviews about pepe's ( downey) I decided to give my review. I've gone to pepe's for YEARS,lived in the area, now I live in Chino, the only time I can go if I go to the area. Pepe's has always been the best Mexican food place I've been to.in chino we have generic Mexican food. I heard that pepe's will be closing Nov. 16 of this year, I hope it's a rumor bcuz I truly will miss going to the area & not being able to order the taquitos & fries,one of my favorites. For those negative reviews I can say nothing is excellent now a days & EVERYTHING is expensive. Even the customer service isn't like before. I myself have given negative reviews & know how it feels when it comes to food, but for me with pepe's I had nothing but the best & will truly miss them.

I grew up eating here and it is a necessity to eat here anytime I visit home. My favorite eatery when I'm in town. I have gluten and dairy allergies so now I stick to the taquitos and I'm so grateful I can still eat here without any cross contamination. Thank you Pepe's!
