I am in town visiting family, I grew up just a few blocks from here, and we ate from here lots. The submarine sandwich is the best. In taking 4 sandwichs home with me, they are that good!!! If you get the chance, stop by and have a meal. This family will feed you amazing food and make you feel like your dining with family.

I've been coming here since the 1970s. I bought a pizza here the other night I wasn't too satisfiedWith it . I explained to Mike the problem.And Mike took care of the situationThe pizza was excellent the right amount of sauce and cooked properly.. Mike made things rightI can't say enough about pinas pizzaHow he took the time to personally take care of it. That's what I call proper customer service.The food here is excellentLife long customer.Big shout out to Mike 10 stars customer service

We could smell the pizza from the Speedway across the street while in Downey recently. I was like let's check out the Pina Pizza House and Banquet Room so we went over and got a late lunch.The people are all really nice! When dining in, there's warm bread with whipped butter. The bread is so chonky and delicious!We ordered pizza, seasoned fries and an eggplant parmesan sandwich. The fries came first and we ate almost all of them haha: they were crispy and it was a really large quantity!The individual cheese pizza was so delightful! Crispy but fluffy and substantial crust, tasty sauce in the perfect amount ratio to the cheese, which was just right!Eggplant parm was like a baby's arm seriously, just heavy and fat! Really good bread, the same tasty sauce, well-breaded and fried eggplant plus A LOT OF CHEESE.If I lived in or near Downey I would order from here all the time! It is especially cute that this place was established in 1959 and is still owned by the younger members of the same family that first opened it. I love things like that!Vegetarian options: Many of the dishes are naturally vegetarian, and others can be modified. Only the dishes with meat sauce or which are featuring meat such as meatball sub or something, would not be able to be eaten. I am pretty sure most of the salads have meat but are made to order so you can probably get them without the meat.
My wife and I love this place. Like most mom and pop restaurants, the food is better, the service is better, and the price is better. We also love the fact that it's local, we've become regulars over the years. Paul Flesch.

My uncle Richie took my sister, her husband, my nephew, and his wife here. So much nostalgia in this place I was probably just a young child the last time I was here probably 11 as old as my nephew and now to be 38 years old it's amazing cozy and my family has known the owners for years since they've been in Downey....from the De Marco family we want to say thank you for serving us all these years and keep doing what you're doing and staying original best place in town bar none!! Please don't ever think about throwing in the towel LOL and for the amount we ordered the prices are still reasonable for the quality product
