While Porto’s is well-known, the Downey location feels a little less crowded than others. The guava cheese pastry is always a winner—flaky, buttery, and sweet. I tried their Cuban sandwich for lunch, and it was huge and satisfying. The lines move quickly thanks to the efficient staff. Definitely worth the drive for affordable, delicious baked goods

Everyone knows Porto’s in Glendale, but the Downey location feels more manageable and just as delicious. Their cheese rolls and guava pastries are melt-in-your-mouth amazing. The café area is bright and clean, making it easy to linger over a coffee. Lines move quickly thanks to their efficient system. Easily one of my go-to spots for affordable treats
