All of a sudden the Tuesday host ends karaoke early taking the selection book away and the locals have to buy her drinks just to get a song approved and she then approves it, when other karaoke nights she's not around the personnel is fair. She's a disgusting person being selective. DONT come on Tuesdays when this person is on duty!!!! AB VOID her at all costs! This person needs to be replaced!!!

Great spot for a quick drink but keep in mind it's a karaoke bar so it does it a little loud, it's right behind a liquor, you might miss it if you don't keep an eye out. It's only cash btw

This place is a serious good time. A word to the wise, the karaoke is deceiving, the pros make it look super easy but it's far from it. There's only instrumental to accompany you with minimal cues. I failed miserably at my rendition of Shoop from award winning artists Salt-N-Pepa. I would have been mortified if not for the stop light shot I had taken just before. Warning No.2, if you come here on your birthday you will have to take one of these stop light shots (3 of em) in a consecutive fashion whilst the whole bar sings happy birthday to you. All in all, a great night with a chill crowd. The Micheladas are delicious and made to your spice preference. The bartenders are all really nice and friendly. 10/10 will return and hopefully recoup my honor in the karaoke.

Love this bar. It's cash only so be prepared . Been timing here for years since it was called the POW wow. All the bartenders are friendly and great. Drinks are good. However if you are bit a karaoke fan beware.

I love this place!! I can't believed I lived 1/2 a mile away for 20 years and just started coming!! The atmosphere is so great! You can be 21 or 91 and it's all love. They have karaoke every night and very low prices...Hands down the bar in Downey and we a lot!

very rude service by the female bar tender we were there on a Sunday morning , we got kicked out because some random person ordered two beers and told her to charge it to our table, when she came over we refused to pay for those drinks we did not order, then she rudely kicks us out, snatches the beer I had already paid for off my hand, the bar itself is not bad but the service is terrible
OMG!! Nancy rocked it!! Literally.. you know, it's nice to get off of work and come to a hidden gem like this one.. This saloon is a must! The service is top notch. A bar that cannot go under.. I must say, I've seen many bars and restaurants go under and a lot of investment goes into it.. but u know what, some of these places that ppl think are underrated are actually quite the perfect spot. Happy hour is the on point and local beers on draft are more than perfect. Thanks again Nancy for delivering top tier service to a this very scrupulous, high maintenance everyday blue collar worker. You rocked it girl and I'm so proud of you. It's places like this is is why i choose to frequent these type of establishments. Thank you kindly.

Pretty good dive bar, bartenders are good and friendly. Decent clientele and fun atmosphere. Prices for drinks are reasonable & beers were cold. One of the patrons there seemed cool, but after a few drinks was acting odd and said some things that were offensive, but I just blew it off. Needless, to say I excused myself to use the restroom then quietly exited. Wasn't getting good vibes. So, I bounced. Know where you're at and be safe out there.
