First and foremost...the wait staff deserve a 5 star rating!My issue was with the food. I haven't been here in nearly a year and man, the food was awful. Starting with my miso soup. Too salty. I had a T-Chicken Bento box. The chicken was dry and overcooked. The small side salad was a joke and I had also ordered a side of rolls and they had no taste at all. All in all, I was very disappointed with every aspect of my meal except the servers.

I swore I’d never come back to this place after they closed for fumigation a month ago or so, but I did, I’m not sure if it’s under new management but my Alaskan Roll was so dry and slightly burnt, the roll pieces were tiny, and one of the Salmon pieces had very thin tiny bones or something because it was unchewable and scratchy.

I use to Love ordering takeout from samurai sushi location in downey. Before I never had problems. Today once we were seated there was a dead fly on table. Moved to another table and my group ordered our food. In one of the sushi rolls in the center found a hair. The girls upfront apologized and gave us a discount since we were grossed out and didnt want a new order of it. After we paid and asked for to go boxes for the other 2 orders we didn't eat we discovered another hair. Complete different orders with hair!!! Disappointed, I will not be returning. ?

It's really expensive for the quality of food you get. I ordered lobster rolls & they were drenched in mayo and the crawfish wasn't fresh. The bento box and teriyaki bowl are the only decent and safe things to order remotely good and fresh. But they need to cook their tempora thoroughly. It comes out all hard potatoes & veggies.Their servers and customer service has improved... but I'd rather go across the street to the other sushi spot for fresh & authentic sushi.
