Xecora Restaurant was an amazing experience. The food was excellent, beautifully presented, and full of unique flavors. The blend of spices truly made me feel like I was back in Nayarit, Mexico authentic and unforgettable.
Daniela, our waitress, did an outstanding job. Our drinks were perfect, and her service was attentive, friendly, and professional from start to finish.
This is definitely a great place to enjoy delicious food and drinks with your loved ones or friends. Highly recommended!

I really wanted to like this place, but the food really missed the mark. Queso Fondido with Chorizo was maybe a 3/5, the chorizo was burnt and flavorless. The Pasta was a bit cold and had a microwaved taste. Chicken, again was flavorless and dry. Lastly, the Carne Asada had a “spoiled” aftertaste while chewing, and overcooked burnt ouside. I’d expect this level of quality maybe at a nameless establishment on the outskirts of the city, with chairs that don’t match and exposed tv power cables taped loosely along the walls. But not here, right center of Downey sharing space with the likes of Gaucho Grill, Lazy Dog, and The Olive!
The atmosphere was nice, and the service was fine. But the foods quality really bothered us. So much so I had to bite into a chilli pepper to cleanse my mouth. I would not recommend eating here until Xecora has really stepped up their cooking and food quality standards.

My boyfriend and I stopped in for a late lunch at Xecora and lucked out with Happy Hour! We sat at the bar and enjoyed the fun, beautifully decorated space (it was nice and quiet on a weekday afternoon). Every detail was great, especially the food: the tacos gobernador were absolutely fabulous, and the oysters were fresh. Paired with a few delicious sangrias, it made for a wonderful afternoon. We highly recommend and can't wait to return!

For four of us we spent almost $800 asked for a birthday shot said it wasn't possible because they were closing. Our waiter Sebastian from Ecuador and Colombia was great, but a young man and girl didn't want to give us their name horrible. Would never come back only three tables full. The young man had tattooes in neck and girl short hair super rude. Food was mid service was horrible after we paid. Never again will I come. Back!!!
We come here for the vegan options, spicy salsa, and awesome micheladas.
Cauliflower tacos are 💣
Ask for the red spicy macha salsa 🔥

The food was awful, we ordered al pastor tacos and octopus tacos and they were inedible. The services was slow, it took a very long time to get our drinks and food. Our waiter was busy chit chatting with friends on another table and drinking. The person that drop off our drinks was rude when we inquiry about the drinks she was leaving. As she missname them and we asked if she was dropping the right drinks.
I wonder at first why they had 3.9 rating, now I think people were too generous.

Service was extremely slow. We waited about 20 minutes at the bar to get our orders in and still waited about another 10 minutes to get our drinks. Cocktails were highly overpriced.

We had a large party this past Saturday and the service was not 100% no one come around to ask how our meals were or if we needed any other drinks or water. I feel they need to focus on their customers needs. Overall it was okay.nothing to brag about. Oh yeah not to many customers in the afternoon so not sure why service slow.

The drinks were good. The margarita was small for the price and the michelada's were slightly pricey the non alcoholic michelada was the same price as the regular one. I only wanted an appetizer but most of them cost more than the entres'. My friends said the Oysters were very good. I have to give the Rib Eye sandwich a thumbs down; it was fatty and gristly, very hard to chew my jaw became tired so I didn't finish it. I left hungry. I won't order it again and I don't recommend it. The music was nice it had the atmosphere similar to a beach front restaurant in Ensenada. We missed the Mariachis they were leaving when we arrived. I dont' think I'll go back again.

I didn't get to order food because i came a few hours before closing. I did order drinks. The drinks were delicious service was quick. So quick they dropped about 3 glasses while I was there. The vibe is good, I'll have to revisit.

Came here with my bf for dinner, had the Shrimp tacos!! Did not disappoint! The tacos were so good! Not messy, the taco stayed in tact while taking a bite! Not like others where everything is falling apart while taking a bite! Definitely recommend.
