A real mom and pop shop! The food was so good. My boyfriend and I got chicken tikka masala, rice, samosa, and regular naan and garlic naan.It was so good. I got mild spicy and my boyfriend got medium. The mild was good, not any spice and still flavorful. The medium had a really nice heat to it.Definitely want to come back.

2 plates: 12.99tiki masala and 13.50 butter chicken, rice sold separately, garlic naan sold separately, $2 bottle water, 3.99 powder tea, mango lassi small 4.99, I got charged $68 (15% fee) and tax and the prices went up a dollar, but it wasn’t reflected on our menu. Then a sketchy guy showed up and didn’t pay for his meal. I felt bad for the owner, but not cool that he overcharged me.
This place is the best Pakistani cuisine place near Downey. The place is a mom and paps owned restaurant. It is a small hole in the wall, but do not let the atmosphere deceive you. The food is delicious. Try the chicken briyani , Nehari, chicken Tikka, paya, and of course the Naan. Really good comfort food with a bit spicy and sweet flavor.P.s.It's not the same as Indian food but has similarities ?

Worst service. Worst food. Its a mom-pop restaurant. Super small serving (literally a small bowl) and its overpriced. The updated menu is included in this review. The bread/rice is not included, you have to pay extra. Water is not free. Taste is also bland. Save your money and don’t go to this place. Super tight parking in-front. The owner blamed us for something we didn’t do. THEY WILL CHARGE 15% GRATUITY for parties of 4+. We got billed extra for some reason, very sketchy place. I don’t recommend going here, not coming back. Me and my family went to this place so you don’t have to suffer. This place should be shut down.

This food is made w love! I absolutely loved my experience here. Let me explain, I live in Downey and was about to drive to Cerritos after a long day of driving and running errands w some shopping peppered in. I decided to google a place near my home and I was 5 minutes away from here. I drive up and was greeted by the nicest gentleman who assured me the food would be delicious! Well let me say it was life-changing! Eating food like this makes me want to learn the recipes myself. Glad I got to enjoy your food and hope you have a lot of success in your business!

Food is ok, samosa only comes with 2 even though picture shows 3. It also only has 1 sauce instead of the usual 2 sauces. Tikka masala is insanely overpriced for the tiny portion you get and doesnt even come with rice. The way mine was packaged everything was set on top of the cheap container and it busted all over the bag so I got even less of the Tikka masala. I also ordered 2 orders of garlic Naan and they were burnt.
The Tikka Masala here is very good and unique compared to what I've tried in other places, which I really enjoyed, and the staff was very friendly.
The restaurant had wonderful and friendly owners, a great ambience (very kid-friendly as well). The customer service was amazing, and the owner ensured we had any condiments we needed and made sure everyone was having a good time. Moving on to the the food!!! Mannnnn it was so good, this restaurant was literally the first Desi restaurant where we got soft, buttery well-done regular and garlic naan. The dishes were amazing, I personally recommend the Choley and butter chicken. The fries were well fried and tasted great, this is definitely a go-to place.
Kid-friendliness: They have a wonderful ambience in the restaurant, and very friendly owners.
DELICIOUS, and LOADED with FLAVOR. Small place with great customer definitely a go to place! I would give it a 6 out of 5 if I could!
Zaika grill is a diamond in the rough inside of Downey that hasn’t any other Indian or Pakistani restaurants that I know of. And it’s Halal, which makes it a great option! We ordered chicken Biryani & somosas for a large group of people for holiday meal. The chicken Biryani was amazing, very fresh w just the right amount of spice & chicken very tasty, perfectly seasoned. The somosas were delicious, good size, crispy & golden and the chutney very good also. The chef or manager, very kind and friendly, good customer service. Highly, highly recommend! Stop by and enjoy!
