Recently, we went to Afternoon tea at ESC in the Four seasons and it was such a delight.

The experience was different than other afternoon tea experiences and felt more intimate.

The portions are smaller than other places (especially for the price) but quality was delicious. For items we weren’t too fond of they took feedback well. Because I was pescatarian, I let them know ont he reservation and they took care in switching the items I couldn’t eat with items I could.

You can smell the teas beforehand and get a choice of two teas per person. I loved being able to do this!

Service was great and they change the menu every so often to update with feedback and changes of the season.

this was a special occasion celebratory high tea- it ended up a fun story of how you can get duped by the label of four seasons teas were open for all to sniff - in time of viral illness, doesn't seem best practice worst earl gray tea i have ever had- how do you mess up something so basic the food was subpar- pastries stale, the savory foods were salty not savory service was very slow at this price i would have expected superior snacks and great service.. i would have been better off with lipton and trader joes diy at home!

Not as good a tea experience at Lisa's Tea Treasures or Maison Daniel. Food is sub-par for sure. Pricing is similar to Rosewood, which again, is a better experience than here.

Sadly this was underwhelming. Service was great but did not make up for the lackluster food. I can see the concept but the items were not well executed: Sesame balls were tough and overdone, the scones were dry, and some of the other items would crumble after grabbing them off the plate. Be mindful that this place also includes a 20% service charge automatically in the bill for a party of two. This was not disclosed up front!

Have been wanting to try Afternoon Tea at the Four Seasons for quite some time. My parents and I had a wonderful experience. Offered both sweet and savory bites with multiple tea selections. Service was amazing! Jonas and John were professional and attentive. Will definitely come back!

My husband and I were there for our anniversary everything was Splendid.. excellent service, Great tea selection , foods were very tasty Especially lobster rolls and dumplings. Our seats were very private quiet table outside tea room . Our server Jonas so wonderful.. we will go back again.

This was my 4th time having tea here since July last year. The food quality had dropped significantly while the price increased significantly. The bread for the lobster roll was dry and felt like leftover. The sesame ball was dry and rubbery and the worst I've ever had. We live in the Bay Area and you can get better sesame balls anywhere easily. The egg tart was also the worst you can find in the Bay Area. Strawberry in the substitute tart for vegetarian was bruised and oozy. Unacceptable for the Four Seasons in my opinion. Very disappointing.

I've been to many afternoon teas but this one particular is superb. The harmony of the ingredients are superb. Chef did a wonderful job and the entire serving staff were so friendly and kind. Made the far trip for all of us totally worth it.

Had a pretty disappointing time. The service was extremely slow, it took us 30 minutes from when we sat down to get our tea and it wasn't even hot. The food was good but for the price it wasn't worth it at all. We also had to ask 2 different people to get our check and it took 15 minutes for them to bring it. Overall I don't recommend the afternoon tea.

Service was great I just wish it wasn't right in the lobby. It just feels like you're sitting at any hotel lobby instead of a Four Seasons restaurant. Food was good, but after taxes and the service fee that's included, it ends up being almost $200 for 2 people. Didn't feel like $200 worth of food. I think you could find another afternoon tea location for this price with a better atmosphere.

It's a good spot for a quiet high tea, space is limited but it wasn't as busy and noise level was ok. I love how it feels secluded and not crowded. Love the 3H theme and all the food that was served especially the soothing teas. Customer service was extraordinary, servers were very nice and polite. Overall very satisfied!

The service was excellent. We had a small table and ran out of room. The waiter brought out two tables and stacked them to give us more room. The food was delicious, and the tea was energizing. We were surprised and pleased that it wasn't too noisy.

Overbooked and was seated in the corner of the cafe. We made a reservation and when we checked in thy informed us the seats were all taken up and they could seat us in the cafe rather than the couches by the holiday decorations. As a result we had a lot of foot traffic of guests trying to order coffee or other items. Considering there is a reservation system I would expect the hotel to have appropriate seating capacity for the holiday tea . I would recommend going to another holiday tea location that has better reservation management

The service was poor, and it wasn't fun for the 3 of us to be squished into a small corner table next to the grab and go beverage station. There wasn't enough room on the table so they brought a cart to hold the pastries, but the cart-top had gaps through which the legs of the pastry tower would slip, almost toppling over! The pastries were good though, and the tea was really really good! I would come back, but not for a special occasion

I have gone to afternoon tea with my daughter ever since she was a little girl so we were both very excited for our Four Seasons experience. It was not at all what we expected. Our server was distracted and honestly we only got 1 pot of tea the entire 2 hours+ we sat there? At 1 point we were asked if we wanted fresh hot water and we eagerly said yes hoping some new tea would be offered but no...we ended up drinking just plain hot water?? The space was cramped and not comfortable whatsoever. Truly felt like we were dining in the lobby? Advertised as a "festive" tea but there was nothing festive about it. From the ambience to the food it was very disappointing. The savory dishes were tasty (old cold bites tho) and very skimpy. Way too many sugar sweets. The price was outrageous for what we got and the poor service we received. Over $185 for two at 2:30 pm on a Sunday (not even a glass of wine/champagne included in that total price). We left unimpressed, underwhelmed, over-charged, hungry and thirsty and will NEVER return. There are so many wonderful afternoon teas in the bay area so I would say go somewhere else. -Disappointed Duo
