Was very disappointed by the experience. Food was bland, tea was weak, and ambiance felt like you were sitting in the waiting room of an airport. Not worth the price and will not be coming back.

I had a tea experience here with great service and, for the most part, good food. The pumpernickel bread was extremely dry, and the hash browns were hard and slightly dry as well, but everything else was enjoyable. We added the champagne option, and I chose a glass of Dom Pérignon, which was $75 for a single glass. Bottled water is an additional $10. My only real concern was that the blooming tea cost an additional $5 per pot, which was not disclosed on the menu. The experience includes two tea selections, and it would be helpful if the menu clearly stated that blooming tea carries an extra charge compared to standard tea bags. It was an additional $20 for the blooming tea. The highlight of the visit was when the server surprised me with a slice of birthday cake and a candle, which was a very thoughtful and sweet gesture. She was kind, attentive, and made the experience feel special overall. The entire experience was $370, including taxes & gratuity.

Inattentive service affected the experience this time. The bread on one sandwich was stale.

We had a wonderful experience with excellent service and a lovely atmosphere. Special thanks to the staff who remembered us—it truly made us feel welcome. The food was outstanding, especially the savory dishes; the lobster sandwich was exceptional. The desserts were also very thoughtfully prepared. In particular, the balance between the scone and the clotted cream was perfect. We would absolutely love to visit again.

This is a really great experience and the food was phenomenal. It's definitely one of the best afternoons I've had in the Bay Area.

Service was wonderful — warm, friendly, and attentive. The tea selection was unique, and I loved being able to see the teas displayed at the tea bar and watch the servers prepare the sachets. The steeping hourglass was a fun and thoughtful touch. However, despite being advertised as a holiday afternoon tea, there was no real seasonal atmosphere — no décor or themed treats. The experience is held in the lobby, which didn't feel particularly festive or intimate. The food itself felt like it had been sitting out for a while, and the table for two was very small, making it tricky to enjoy the tea service comfortably. With more attention to the holiday theme and a more spacious setup, this could be a lovely experience. The staff truly made the visit enjoyable.

Amazing selection of pastries and savories. Tea selection was good. We hosted a baby shower and we enjoyed the experience thoroughly.

Parking was easy in the hotel's guest parking lot. ESC is in the hotel lobby, slightly blocked off by partitions, so it was a little odd. Food and tea were good. Service was slow as they had only one server and another new person in training. We had to ask for our second tea at the end of our meal since our server forgot to serve it to us. The afternoon tea selection was good and they had everything out for you to smell the teas. Being able to smell the blends helped us make our tea selections. Each treat in the afternoon tea was tasty and well crafted. I don't know if I would go again, but we had a pleasant time and enjoyed our afternoon tea set.

It's in a lobby so you're looking at the parking lot. The desserts were tasty (though 2 of the “purses” were missing their chocolate handles). The bread on the sandwiches was dry. The tea itself was good and the waitress was great with the hot water refills, but we won't be returning.

The tea is served in the lobby. This was not a special holiday experience. I would not go back.

Recently, we went to Afternoon tea at ESC in the Four seasons and it was such a delight.

The experience was different than other afternoon tea experiences and felt more intimate.

The portions are smaller than other places (especially for the price) but quality was delicious. For items we weren’t too fond of they took feedback well. Because I was pescatarian, I let them know ont he reservation and they took care in switching the items I couldn’t eat with items I could.

You can smell the teas beforehand and get a choice of two teas per person. I loved being able to do this!

Service was great and they change the menu every so often to update with feedback and changes of the season.

this was a special occasion celebratory high tea- it ended up a fun story of how you can get duped by the label of four seasons teas were open for all to sniff - in time of viral illness, doesn't seem best practice worst earl gray tea i have ever had- how do you mess up something so basic the food was subpar- pastries stale, the savory foods were salty not savory service was very slow at this price i would have expected superior snacks and great service.. i would have been better off with lipton and trader joes diy at home!
