I remember coming down from AZ and making this my first stop, now spending $30 on fries (paper is stuck to the fries) 1 taco (soggiest taco ever) 1 burrito (smallest I've seen) and 2 xlg drinks (med anywhere else) is pretty ridiculous. Sad to say it won't be my stop anymore.

Amazing, fast an easy to order. Tortilla on the burrito felt home made as well. Highly recommend if you are in the valley

It was one of the most amazingly tasty breakfast burritos ever. Well worth the walk down from the truck stop.

Absolutely phenomenal moist, chicken tacos! Yummy deliciousness!

Pros: Fast service, fair prices, clean, roomy. Efficient staff. Good for a quick bite when in a rush and no other options are available.

Cons: Very, very small burritos. Possibly, the smallest there is in Imperial and San Diego Counties. Lacks flavor and texture. Poor mix of ingredients. A bacon, egg and potato burrito has mainly beans, some potatoes, some eggs and very, very little bacon. Can't taste the flavors, nor texture of none of the ingredients from each other. It is more like a soft paste with a uniform subtle taste of beans. Not even enough salt. Taste almost the same like a frozen burrito you can buy at any supermarket. The salsa is in the same category, almost tasteless.
It has been like this, at least in the past 3 years.

When I first started to go to Johnny's, the burrito were served really big, stuffed with a good portion. Now, well they are much smaller and even more expensive.

Im from San Diego and we have good Mexican food over here so maybe that’s why im giving 2 stars but 3 different burritos and no one liked theirs. The tortilla was not good, seasoning on the carne asada was sour, they were also small. I would not return. I’m sorry.

Oh. Oh my. It's sooooo good. I see why they are so loved in the Imperial Valley area.

#1. Say YES to the Chicken 🌮 Taco. My Top Pick for chicken tacos. VERY Tender (so tender you don't need teeth, or teef, as Granny says) juicy chicken chunks, very nice portion, with the usual toppings. I got mine on the corn tortilla, but you can get flour as well.
Whomever ever made this batch of chicken, marry me you poultry genius. LOL

#2. Rolled Shedded Beef Taco Combo, comes with a medium drink, rice, beans, lettuce, cheese.- very flavor packed, no heat plate. Definitely add hot sauce if you want a kick. They have two versions of red hot sauce to choose from. I'm in love with the beans and rice! Excellent mix of flavors and textures. Top 5 fav. If a bean a cheese burrito is your gig, you won't go wrong here. Quality ingredients. Yummy cheese.

#3 4oz Chunky Guacamole 🥑- Very creamy, excellent flavor. I want to slather everything with it.

Nice, clean, large restaurant in the Goodwill shopping center. Tons of parking. Kind, well spoken, efficient staff and some bomb proof delicious food.

The meat was old for sure, avocado sauce was more like water, fries were cold. Dont go to this place
