I was a bit disappointed today, I paced an order over the phone. One of them was the Mongolian beef lunch plate. I asked for the meat to be cooked a little crispy. That's just my preference. Its been done before. The lady that helped me said straight out NO, she's said that's not how you eat it...umm ok. I almost laughed but wasn't trying to be rude. I get that that's now how she would traditionally or maybe someone else would eat it but it's a personal preference since it's being cooked fresh anyway. Again I've asked for it like this before and never had someone say NO... I'm laughing now just replaying her fast response. Needless to say I still order two different lunch plates including the Mongolian beef. Its good, a little on the chewy side. But not the best.

I ordered Seafood soup, egg rolls and kung Pao chicken. Made fresh. Kung Pao Chicken was good, the seafood soup was missing vegetables and seasoning, the egg rolls well I wouldn’t order them again.

This local gem consistently serves excellent NO-MSG Chinese food with warm, friendly service that makes you feel at home. My go-to dish is Mongolian beef—perfectly seasoned and always tender. I also love their chicken fried rice—flavorful, fresh, and never greasy. The portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Imperial County, I highly recommend stopping by this Mama Park-run restaurant. It’s a true hometown favorite. Thank you, Mah’s Kitchen, Peter, Judith, and Maria for all the delicious meals and years of great service!
