Horrible service, called 1000000 times for them to answer in the rudest way like if their food was cheap. Avoid then at allll cost!!! Never coming back.

Rico Food is usually my go to spot for Chinese food (fortune garden was my spot before),today I went in and the usual they sat me down as soon as I walked in,asked what I wanted to drink, they went got my drink, they asked if I was ready to order I told them I wanted a shark fin soup just to get started, they brought it out.I ate it and took one zip of my drink and waited for about +20mins for someone to take my order but that never happened.Noone ever went to check up on me to see if everything was fine, noone ever asked to see if I was gonna order some more food or if that was it.Yes I could have called someone but thats not my job, this has never happened before its usually always a good experience, but to be there for +20 mins and looking at every other table getting attention is just to much.Ill be back in just hope I don't have to go through this again. There food is bomb not gonna bash them but honestly you guys could do better than that.

Hubby wanted to try their food, I told him I had read bad snd good reviews. We decided to check it out. We waited a bit which was no biggie, the problem was when we got out food, #1 and #6 mine (#1) was ok, (#6) my hubby’s plate the chicken was spoiled. I notified waitress she I notify waitress she asked how we knew, I told her taste it, she said she would notify She said she would notify, the kitchen It turned out that we were charged for the food. Their excuse was that that was a very popular plate and they make it on a daily basis. WTH the chicken was spoiled, not going back!!

If you love Chinese cuisine, this place is a must-visit! The service was outstanding—our server was knowledgeable and polite, providing us with a great dining experience. The food was bursting with flavor, especially the Mongolian beef, which was tender and packed with spice. The ambiance was a true highlight, with traditional Chinese lanterns and wood accents giving the restaurant a warm, welcoming feel. The perfect place for a family dinner or date night. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

This used to be a good place. They have gotten lazy with their food. Fried Rice has been substituted with Mexican rice.

I recently visited Rico's Food Place, and overall, the experience was good. However, the space is quite small for the number of people they accommodate, making it feel cramped. For me, this is a downside since I prefer having private conversations and dislike overhearing others.

On the positive side, the customer service was efficient — my food arrived quickly, though the staff seemed very busy. As a result, I had to call them for most things, as they didn't have time to check in with customers individually.

I’d recommend this spot for a quick lunch or takeout. The food was flavorful, offering a unique Mexicali twist on Chinese cuisine. I tried the teriyaki chicken and fried rice, both of which were delicious. The wonton soup, however, lacked flavor, though they provide sauces to adjust it to your taste.

This is just as good as going to Mexicali for some good Chinese food. A must try place but warning very addictive.
