I'm never one to leave a review on a resturart but my husband and I celebrated our 12 year anniversary at Sonora fusion. The food was fantastic but I'm disappointed in the service. Our waitress was rude, had an attitude and I noticed her make faces at one point.

It was not my first visit, the food was amazing, however, the time to cook two Sonora parrilladas was extremely excessive, 1.5 hours, we had a reservation for 9 people, due to the excessive time, somebody left without food.

I ordered a filet mignon, medium rare. What I got was a slab of meat so rare it was practically mooing, with all the visual appeal of something pulled from the freezer and half-heartedly thawed. Zero sear, no crust—just a sad brown shade halfway into the steak, like someone left it near a heat lamp and called it a day. I’m absolutely certain anyone with access to YouTube could cook a steak better after a single 1-minute tutorial and a “can-do” attitude.
The bacon wrap? Firstly, who bacon wraps a piece of filet? Secondly, if you’re going to perform culinary malpractice, at least execute it well! Instead, two limp, barely cooked pieces of bacon flopped around the steak.
Asparagus: I think I actually heard it crunch. It was more like the garnish you’d get with your meal if they let you graze in the produce aisle.

A diamond in the rough. Within a city that has limited offerings, this restaurant was fantastic. Wait staff were attentive and the food was amazing. Try the filet and the grilled octopus. You won't be disappointed with anything they have to offer.
