Late night drive back from San Diego to Phoenix and decided to stop for BBQ in El Centro. This place is off the beaten path but well worth the stop. Everything we ate was delicious! The owner was gracious and sweet, thank you for a great meal.

The food I ordered from soul n sides exceeded all expectations I had for this place and then some! Tried bacon cabbage for the first time and I LOVED IT!! The chili was VERY FILLING. The tri tip and brisket are both cooked to perfection and both have a savory taste! Can’t wait to eat here again. Will definitely be recommending friends and family to try the food.

Awesome experience from start to end with Soul N Sides BBQ! Food was amazing, (smothered pork chop, garlic lemon green beans, rice and a magical biscuit) had great flavor!! Everything is homemade and you can taste it, I’m not a bread person but let me tell you that biscuit was gone in seconds! You won’t be disappointed, the hard work that goes into the preparation is noticed and I’m excited to keep trying their menu! Keep going Soul N Sides BBQ!!???

My friend Pamela told me about these people this afternoon. As many of my friends know I have been looking for someone a long time that does home cooking. I called Lakisha and she had it ready for me to pick up within minutes. This has to be the most delicious, scrumptious, wonderful meal I have had for a long long time. They are wonderful cooks everything was made from scratch. The catfish was cooked to a perfection crispy on the outside perfect moist on the inside . I have never tasted candy yams that good ever. Everything was delicious . I will definitely be a steady for them. Very professional , has their City of El Centro license displayed on the window of their kitchen. They have set up a beautiful kitchen to work in and he has his grilling area set up outside. I sure hope they have another dinner this weekend. I’ll be looking forward to it, whatever it may be, I know it will be yummy.

I happened to be in my hometown of El Centro, CA. I have been anticipating tasting this local, independent vendors BBQ and sides and I must say they did NOT DISAPPOINT!! The ribs were perfect, fell off the bone, the tritip was great as well..potato and MacnCheese were fire!!! The pricing for the meal was $20!! I thoroughly enjoyed the meal and will definitely recommend them to everyone. It even comes with a drink!! They have great hospitality and you can see that they value what they do in their business. Go check them out!! I will definitely be spreading the word. Thank you Tyland and Lakisha for providing such fantastic food for us.

Food was amazing had the Tri-Tip and pork belly burnt ends. Never had pork belly before and the smoke was perfect, and the flavor was on point. Home made chili beans and potatoe salad. Everything was excellent. Definitely eating there again. Thanks Ty for the great food.

Avoid this place if you have kids!!! Because they will never eat your food again. And you will constantly hear,”That doesn’t taste like Soul and Sides”!!! The ribs are absolutely delicious!!! The sauce wasn’t too sweet and cooked to perfection. Now for that damn baked potato. Absolutely wrong!!! That thing is dangerous!!! Baked with pulled pork!!! My new favorite… And that pasta salad is its own food group. My mouth is watering as I type this. Gonna need a 12 step program for BBQ addiction!!! Can’t wait for this weekend!!!
