This is a very nice Pizza place built in a hold barn/shop and the atmosphere is great, and quiet. They have a wood copper oven which makes really good pizzas.

Best pizza! Love the carnivoro and their seasonal abbot. Try the Birra Nursia dark beer… so good.

Josue and Jason were a pleasure. They are caring, attentive and fun AND efficient. The whole experience, my first and my friend’s multiple, was a delight. The pizza was unbelievable. Tasty. Fireworks in our mouths. Loved it.

The first two times I tried this pizzeria, the experience was acceptable, though far from perfect. Unfortunately, the quality has significantly declined over time.
The first time I dined in, it was uncomfortable: there were flies everywhere, it was too hot, and the overall atmosphere wasn’t pleasant. I ordered two pizzas: the prosciutto and arugula pizza was quite average, even bitter, while the Margherita was decent, but they made the mistake of cooking the basil, which should be added fresh. I also tried a beer recommended by the staff, but I didn’t like it.
On another occasion, I had to complain because the pizza was burnt, which made it bitter and lacking in cheese. They remade it, and it was better, but it’s very inconvenient to have to explain how things should be done. Despite these experiences, I gave them several more chances, but there was no noticeable improvement. Even when I specifically requested fresh basil, they chopped it into pieces, and it still wasn’t fresh.
I am Argentinian, born in a country where Italian pizza can be incredibly delicious. I lived in northern Italy, and I am the daughter of an Italian from central Italy. My entire life, I’ve enjoyed authentic Italian food made by my Nonna, so I know exactly how an Italian pizza should taste, feel, and be prepared.
The last time I ordered from this place was two days ago, and it was deeply disappointing. The dough was completely hard, a clear sign it hadn’t been allowed to rest for two days as it should. This made the pizza heavy and unpleasant to eat. Once again, it was burnt, bitter, lacked cheese (they don’t even use authentic mozzarella), the basil was cooked, and the sauce tasted acidic, reflecting poor quality.
I didn’t call to complain because it’s uncomfortable for me, but I will not be ordering from here again. The price does not match the quality of the pizza. In Italy, I’ve bought pizzas for 5 euros from true pizza masters, with incomparable quality.
Lastly, I find the lack of respect and professionalism in their responses to customers appalling. Calling someone a “fake Italian” in a review is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the business. They have fallen short, both in the quality of their product and in how they treat their customers. I won’t be returning.

I'd leave zero stars if I could

We've known Norcia for a few months now. We are from Italy so for a long time we've been searching for true Italian pizza. This is the closest we could find, but…

I have nothing to say about the ambience because we've always ordered to go, but even though they say they are Italians, there are some problems.

They use a pizza oven, the key to make a good pizza, but they don't know how to use it, at first they were great but all the other times I had to complain and ask for a new pizza because it was all burnt , they said that it's because of the special oven they use, but again, I'm Italian, and I know it has nothing to do with it, it's just the pizzaiolo (pizza master) doesn't know how to cook it.

We've order margherita pizza all the times we've ordered (mozzarella, tomatoes and basil).

A few pointers. A marghetira has some cheese on it, you put just a few chunks of cheese, I've had to complain and get a new pizza because it barely had any cheese in it, so, it's like a tomato pizza alone.

Then, the basil, YOU NEVER EVER COOK THE BASIL, a truly Italian pizzeria knows better than that. The basil has to be fresh, and placed on top of the pizza once cooked! I've never seen something like this, a truly Italian would consider this a sacrilege.

So, burnt, with barely some cheese on it, and burnt basil, not only once but every single time.

Sorry, but I don't think we are coming back.

And please, don't call it Italian pizzeria because it's insulting for us Italian.

The first two photos are from Norcia, the third one is a true Margherita Pizza from Naples, Italy. A very big difference right?

Just for these guys who replied making fun of my Italian name:

Dear insolent and rude friend, I have never set foot in an Olive Garden. I was born in Lavagna, in the province of Genoa, in the Liguria region; I don't need a fake Italian to insult me. Imagine that I have been carrying Italian blood for ten generations!

You don't know how to make pizza and you cheekily tell me that that photo of your pizza is perfect? It's a horror! Can you tell me about cooking basil for a “rustic” taste?? You put fresh basil on pizza. Learn to make pizza without burning it and without ruining the flavor of the basil, my friend!

Did I order the other style twice? No, dear friend, I complained twice because I got tired of paying for rubbish, and you don't know how to make pizza anyway! Even put chopped basil on top!

What happens? Are you offended if someone leaves you a negative review? You just showed what a mess you are. You could have been humble and responded politely, but instead you even disrespected my name. If you want, I'll show you my identity card and my Italian passport, so you can swallow them and stop talking nonsense.

Close that pizzeria and focus on something else, or stop saying it's Italian pizza because it's not!

Olive Garden? What a lack of respect!

Favorite pizza spot in El Dorado County - the quality is unmatched and perfectly tasty. The informal atmosphere has a cool vibe with the look of a rustic industrial space but uncluttered and clean like you expect at a sit down restaurant. The beers are dangerously delicious, glug glug. The sweet and knowledgeable staff is helpful but not hovering. I could easily go once a week but I love it being kinda special too.
