Solid but unspectacular BBQ shack with mostly outdoor seating, located in semi-rural CA gold country about an hour from Sacramento. I was there as a member of the band (Sunday afternoon/evening entertainment), so my food and service experience was limited. Nothing negative to say, pleasant atmosphere, and the food I sampled was good.

Really wanted to like this place. Was sold couple years ago. New owners promised improvements. TWICE my table has ordered bbq pork ribs. TWICE has been unedible.
Looked old leftovers. So hard and dry that ribs could not be seperated even with big hunting knife style steak knife. Very expensive: $35 for half rack. Total waste.
Simple sandwiches were fine. Burgers, etc.

Took the motorcycle here, with friends. We were all happy with our food and service. We had shrimp tacos, roadhouse sandwich, and Cajun chicken sandwich. The French fries were delicious as well. Bloody marrys were also very good.
