My favorite place for Nem Nhuong rolls, and I love their dipping sauce, it's a peanut sauce jam packed with flavor.

5 Stars is one of the many Viet spots in El Monte. Ordered take out and it was ready on time. Goi Cuon Tom Thit - $7.50 - 2 spring rolls. Decent and fresh. Expensive for the portion. 5 Stars Pho - $14.50 - Good broth. Meat was good. Not a fan of meatballs but this was the only pho option. Bun Ho Hue Large - $14.50 - Broth had nice spice. I loved the knuckle. Good portion size.

Despite the bad reviews and low yelp review, I'd say this place deserves a good review. They may not be the BEST Vietnamese restaurant, but their traditional Vietnamese appetizers are worth trying! I always come back for their Banh beo and some dishes that are wrapped in banana leaves!

I went to 5 Stars Hue Restaurant with friends and family multiple times. The delicious dishes here always keep me coming back for more! Whenever I am craving vietnamese food, I grativate toward this restaurant. Every dish comes packed with flavor and it makes everyone happy! If you are a first-time patron here, definitely try the Banh Beo, Spring Roll, and Bun Bo Hue. These three dishes are what keep me a loyal patron - you just have to try it! I've had many spring rolls in my lifetime as a spring roll fanatic SO I can tell you these spring rolls are the best! It's comparable to my aunties who make them during family gatherings. The Bun Bo Hue broth flavor will make you feeling warm, fulfilled, and complete. Its great to have a sick day as well to-go. If you are feeling more like fresh veggies and grilled meat, definitely try the Nem Lui. It comes with grilled pork which you'll wrap in fresh veggies! The 5 Stars Hue Restaurant is a must try! Your taste buds will thank you :)

I miss their location in Diamond Bar that closed down. I'm sure there may be better places to find banh beo and other banana wrapped specialties, but this place doesn't disappoint. Their pho is also good (they only serve one kind) making it a one stop shop that will fix almost all your vietnamese cravings. The nuoc nam is spot on with the perfect amount of umami and sweetness. My favorite is their chewy tapioca with dried shrimp (#15). Prices are fair and my only gripe is that they charge $0.50 per person for iced water. Nothing special about the water...just iced water in a cup.

Authentic and cheap. It's a Diamond in El Monte. I will keep going there ! Clam salad is great !!

Passed by this place a few times and wanted to check it out. I decided to check it out today after contemplating between a real meal or Mickey Ds. I definitely regretted my decision of not going to Mickey Ds afterwards. So the food wasn't necessarily horrible in taste, it was just bland. Perhaps it's because instead of ordering the Bun Bo Hue, I decided to just to give the Pho a try. (The restaurant said nothing about "5 stars pho" in the name) The overall taste of the pho is definitely a 3 stars imo. Now here's what reduced it to a 2 star for me. Every time I eat pho, I would ask for a side of onions. If the restaurant does charge they'll usually tell you, right? This place did not. I was shocked to find my bill very close to $15, when the pho is $12.65 after the 10% tax. Keep in mind every dollar spend is 10cents in tax. After doing the math, the side of onions costed me $1.50. I believe if you're going to charge people for 1/4 of an onion, you should let your customers know. During the time of paying I didn't think too much of it because the lady didn't give me a receipt. She literally spoke the price in Vietnamese (which I didn't understand) so I handed her $20 thinking it can't be more than this. After being handed my change with only $5 and some change, I realized she didn't notify about the additional charge. Don't get me wrong, $1.50 is not a huge deal. In fact, I'll be ok with spending the $1.50 for the onions if you told me (I really enjoy having side of onions with my pho). I am just more bothered that the charge wasn't disclosed and a receipt wasn't provided to me. At Mickey Ds, the prices are set there for you to see and if the receipt was not given by the employee, the meal would've been free.

We ordered bun Bo hue, banh hoi, and nem nuong. Bun Bo hue has no flavor of what bun Bo hue should be. The broth is sweet and lack the umami. The meatballs were so sweet.

We visited on a Sunday just before noon. We first tried the one in Alhambra but it was closed. It shouldn't have been but with the pandemic still happening, we figured it was staff shortage or they need to update their Yelp/online hours. This one is in Rosemead, just a few miles east. This restaurant is in a shopping center with roughly room for maybe 25-30 people with several spaces for parking. When we visited, it wasn't busy. However it did start to pick up after we left and we know why. The food is excellent and the portions are great. The service is friendly and moderately quick (I'm also thinking it's because it was not as busy). Hubs got a beef soup (pho) and I got a cool vegetable noodle dish (came with tofu) - even the sauce was vegetarian (no fish sauce / not my favorite so I try to avoid it). We also got the fried egg rolls (pork). We plan to return again.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars because that's what it is. Definitely not 5 stars even McDonald's service is better than this! Walked in to order and the lady that was taking my order walked away from me and went to go talk to her friends and told the other lady to serve us. We came before them yet we were the ones waiting for them to finish so I just walked out. Staff is rude, service is terrible, don't waste your time here. trust me

Really yummy authentic Vietnamese hue food. Tried a little bit of everything. Going back for a few things they ran out of. So good, it sells out fast!

Their spring roll is so fresh. They roll it so tight and flavor is consistent everytime. They serve it with peanut hoisin sauce; it's good but theirs is on the sweeter note. The party tray is great. Spring roll is 30 pcs min. $2 each or 50 pcs for $1.70 ea. They also have egg roll and other viet dishes listed on the menu. Transparency for you! Everybody raves about their bun bo hue. We haven't tried it but maybe next time since it's so popular. They speak both english and viet. If you call in english, they will transfer you to a person who speaks, so just wait a few seconds in line and someone will say something, they won't just hang up! (it happens in other places)

Terrible customer service! I went inside and waited for a minute or 2 to be seated. Nobody greeted me so I decided to find an empty table to sit in. Sat down and waited for a server to hand me the menu. Waited 5 minutes did not get greeted so I grabbed a menu from the other table. Ready to order and nobody came by to take my order. F*** this place I hope they go out of business soon. I got off my seat and went somewhere else. Do not come to this restaurant they don't give a s*** about customer service and they only serve their kind.

When I entered the restaurant, there was no customer. In good faith, I sat down and placed a order. Shocked, my soup tasted spoiled and not wanting to get sick, I notify the waitress immediately and ask for my bill. The waitress did not apology to me nor did she delete the charge, so I just paid the bill without a penny for tip. Next time I will leave if I enter a restaurant without customers. WHERE CAN I FIND A HEALTH INSPECTOR?
