Had a great experience here the other day. Looks to be a family run thing. I think it’s the dad who is cooking and the son helps out and I believe the mom. Love seeing this kind of thing. Need more of it. And the food is also really good haha. I’d definitely recommend their Caldo De Res or their Enchilada plate.

The combo plates are amazing. I got the chile verde burrito mojado and the flavor was excellent. The service was excellent and you can tell this business makes everything with care and love. Will absolutely be back!

This is definitely one of those hidden gems. Had a crazy work day running around when I decided to pull in and just have a nice little lunch. Boy did they deliver. One of the best wet burritos I've ever had. The Al Pastor was marinated and cooked to perfection with the wonderful green sauce having a playful kick (not too hot but not boring). The mix of flavors worked wonderfully leaving me very full and very satisfied. Wonderful little place with friendly service and sad that it's so far from where I actually live. Highly recommend

This place is a hidden gem! We live close and had been trying the varied Mexican food restaurants in the area, most of them were disappointments. Ajos Y Cebollas is kind of hidden in a tiny, old strip mall, so much so that we almost couldn't find it. We are so glad we did, the food is consistently fantastic. The chips and salsas (different varieties) are fresh, and soul satisfying. I had the crispy shredded beef tacos with rice and beans: 10/10. My partner had the chicken mole enchiladas, and he was over the moon with how good they were. We are regular customers and we love this place.

I really wanted to like this restaurant because on the surface it looks cute and arty and there aren't many places like that in South El Monte. But I got food poisoning. Once you start to look closer, there are a lot of things wrong with this place. It's very dingy and dirty: the menus were sticky, the syrup bottle was sticky all over showing that it's not regularly cleaned up to standard, the booth's backing were dirty, the inside of the windows weren't cleaned, the restroom hallway was dirty, and the tablecloths were dirty underneath the white drawing paper. These are all things that kept running through my head as I felt sick. If this is what they want the customer experience to be like, then this does reflect well of the standards that their kitchen is held up to. Hence the reason for my food poisoning. Our server was really nice though.

The food here is the real deal. I ordered two crunchy shredded beef tacos with rice and beans and my son had steak fajitas. Everything was so flavorful. We hadn’t had food this good since my grandma would cook for us. Bomb, 5-stars for the authenticity and flavor. A real gem in the SGV.

Nothing disappointed!!!Mole enchiladas,The geikos pasta❤️❤️❤️❤️ omg delicious!!!!I had it with tortilla soup and that was soooooo delicious too!!! Also comes with a garlic bread, it’s so soft and crunchy! And actually taste like a garlic bread should!I enjoyed the food so much I didn’t even bother to take a picture.I highly recommend this place!!!!
