The waitress were rude didn’t smile instead gave me a bad look I been going there for over 45 years and almost everytime I go there they have different owners the food was over cooked and dry and they don’t give you enough food for what they charge you and bad parking I been going back here since 1974 for one second I felt like I wasn’t wanted there and I am a Mexican also I don’t think I am going to go there anymore bad vibes I lived in El Monte for over 20 years I ate in all the restaurants on Garvy and Valley Bl.

I came in for lunch. Food is real authentic. Home made corn tortillas. I ordered Chili rojo Costillas w rice n beans. They were delicious! Them corn tortillas I tried the green chili Costillas. They were really good also. My friend had chicken a la Mexicana. He said it was the best.

Found this place by chance looking for a good caldo. This hidden little gem is amazing. The food tastes like my grandma's food, and the tortillas are handmade. Prices are good as well as the portions. I will be coming back for sure!

My taco cravings lead me here to El Rancho. Meats are nice and juicy, though chorizo is somewhat greasier. My dad enjoys their menudo a lot. Would recommend placing a phone order ahead of time if you plan to do take out. Parking is a bit small and difficult to find if you come at a time when lots are dining in. They kept their patio dining in the parking area.
