I found a small little cockroach dead in my sandwich I wish I knew how to upload pictures when I showed it to the lady, she showed it to the cook and the cook was outrage. He Said I put it there I couldn’t believe what he was saying and I just had to walk away

I saw this place on Google Maps and found the food to be cheap so I ordered a double cheeseburger ($3.89) and the old woman charged me $8.64 (yes, one burger, not the combo). All right, I know what you were thinking. As expected, I was the last one to get my food and there were other customers behind me who got their food first. I am used to Asians treating Asians like this. I will stay away from this restaurant and leave a 1 star review and describe the facts so that other customers will notice. My mistake was not realizing that the people who run this restaurant are Asians, the photos on Google Maps do not show this or I would not have come. I want to tell all customers that if you see a store with 4.5 stars and above, you are most likely encountering a restaurant by Asians (especially Chinese).
Some of the best and affordable food you can find around LA county, let alone El Monte itself.

This is one of those local gem mom and pop restaurants that everyone loves. Great sandwiches, great onion rings and good prices. The restaurant itself it a little dated and the owners say very little, but the food speaks for itself. I've been coming here since I was a kid and will continue coming until I no longer can.
I went here at least once a week for lunch. I am moving away and will miss this place. Nice place to sit and have lunch, kind service and prices are fair.
Definitely try the teriyaki steak & chicken subs. I regularly got their cheese burger combos as well.
