I saw this place on Google Maps and found the food to be cheap so I ordered a double cheeseburger ($3.89) and the old woman charged me $8.64 (yes, one burger, not the combo). All right, I know what you were thinking. As expected, I was the last one to get my food and there were other customers behind me who got their food first. I am used to Asians treating Asians like this. I will stay away from this restaurant and leave a 1 star review and describe the facts so that other customers will notice. My mistake was not realizing that the people who run this restaurant are Asians, the photos on Google Maps do not show this or I would not have come. I want to tell all customers that if you see a store with 4.5 stars and above, you are most likely encountering a restaurant by Asians (especially Chinese).

This is one of those local gem mom and pop restaurants that everyone loves. Great sandwiches, great onion rings and good prices. The restaurant itself it a little dated and the owners say very little, but the food speaks for itself. I've been coming here since I was a kid and will continue coming until I no longer can.
I went here at least once a week for lunch. I am moving away and will miss this place. Nice place to sit and have lunch, kind service and prices are fair.
Definitely try the teriyaki steak & chicken subs. I regularly got their cheese burger combos as well.
I went to get burgers and I was discriminated because I'm Asian. The female staff is Asian woman. It’s hard to imagine Asians discriminating against each other.1. The hygienic condition of the store is very bad.2. Pretend don't understand my English when ordering.3. I paid but did not provide a receipt.4. The burger I got is as shown below, it’s cold!5. The packaging boxes in the store are very worn and do not meet hygiene standards.6. I choose to take out and my tip is still compulsory. Even if I pay the tip, I still get discriminated.7. I will never come to this store again, if you are not a racist please don't come to this store.When I went to buy a hamburger, I was discriminated against because I was Asian. I've been coming to this place for about 44 years and a repeat customer i go at least twice a week just recently they have been skimping or their servings the large fries are the same size as the small fries but cost about 2.50 more when I seen that the fries were the same size I asked the owner to fix it,so he put his hands all over the fries and threw them back in the fry tray..very dirty, at that point I just asked for a refund and the lady the owners wife handles the money and register and then touches the food without washing her hands and is super rude when you ask her for extra ketchup,napkins or whatever. Restrooms are also disgusting I'm very disappointed with that place lately I've ignored another of it before in the past but I don't think I will be going back until they attempt to fix things.Im not sure what the owners (husband and wife) are going through but they need to leave that rude attitude some where else.
This place has roaches as I was sitting eating a roach crawled from under the table too up on the table. I used to support this place but not anymore, besides the roaches; the husband and wife team; the wife has an attitude after she under cooked my fries and I specifically asked her not to because she did it before, she got an attitude and start talking to her husband in their language and refused to provide me with freshly well cooked fries. Never again as I cannot tolerate knowing that a roach might be in my food.

Stopped by this hidden gem in El Monte earlier today. You will not be disappointed! I had the pastrami burger combo and the six inch pastrami combo for my daughter. Both were great and I highly recommend this spot!! I'll be returning soon!

If your from the neighborhood and you've had Tito's subs, come here. This place will humble Tito's real quick. The quality of the food and the price is great. The BLT IS DELICIOUS! Lol and they're fries are always fresh!
