Margaret and her waiter / assistant were extremely welcoming and courteous, she really made the whole dining experience fun and heartwarming. Nice to see that this place is owned by a fellow asian. Will be back!

I ordered a 1/2 quesadica, and I didn't just get the half.I only got 3 pieces when I was supposed to get 5.And then I didn't say anything cause I didn't want to , but then , when I looked on the counter , I saw the two other pieces , I demanded to get on and I i got them , but I had to climb over the counter , to get them to stars

Went to Jolly Jug for dinner and ordered the French Dip sandwich and fries. Total of dinner came out to $30 with a drink. I have to say I was quite disappointed in what I received when I got home. The sandwich was rather small and the amount of fries was minimal. What I received from Jolly Jug was not a $30 meal at all. Also the soda I bought was mostly ice with little soda. Needless to say I will not ever be returning to Jolly Jug!
Went here last week with my best bud, we went a little early so we were the only customers but the atmosphere and service was still phenomenal, and the patty melt is to die for, absolutely amazing experience definitely coming back !!!

Honestly rating this one star because I paid $62 for a stack of pancakes and a sandwich and two drinks that sounds crazy to me so not recommended to come here I don’t know if they overpriced me or what

Great drinks, but the food is VERY pricey for what you get. A BLT and fries will cost you $17, without a drink and everything is a la carte.

We arrived El Monte really late at night and Jolly Jug was the only place that still serves beef dip sandwiches in their bar. It turned out we have the best beef dip sandwiches in LA. The bun was fresh and the beef was so tender. The Chinese lady, who owns Jolly Jug for 30 some years, came to our table to chat with us, and said her beef dip sandwich has won an award. If you like beef dip sandwich, Jolly Jug is the place to go in El Monte, California.
