Jolly Jug was a great find to start our day of exploring! The food was great, staff was very friendly and the atmosphere is so welcoming. We would definitely come back!

Went to Jolly Jug for dinner and ordered the French Dip sandwich and fries. Total of dinner came out to $30 with a drink. I have to say I was quite disappointed in what I received when I got home. The sandwich was rather small and the amount of fries was minimal. What I received from Jolly Jug was not a $30 meal at all. Also the soda I bought was mostly ice with little soda. Needless to say I will not ever be returning to Jolly Jug!

Went here last week with my best bud, we went a little early so we were the only customers but the atmosphere and service was still phenomenal, and the patty melt is to die for, absolutely amazing experience definitely coming back !!!

We stopped by here on a whim a few months ago and have been back 4 times already. It’s an old school diner with old school hospitality. Everything we’ve tried has been good, but we love the beef dip with their homemade gravy sauce. Patty melt was great too! We love the woman who’s always there, as well as the taller guy, they make you feel very welcome. There’s also a bar to the left of the entrance so you can order food at the bar and watch a game. Just a great place with good vibes.

I've been coming here for 60 years for the beef dip, and it hasn't changed, but what has changed is the size and cost. Wife and I had the beef dip ,fries , and ice tea, and our bill was almost $70.00. I believe that will be out last time at the Jolly Jug.

This place is a true local gem. The owner is an absolute vibe, and if you come here expecting anything other than the full “Jolly Jug of El Monte” experience—and don’t end up having a great time—that’s on you. It’s nearly impossible not to have a blast here. Also, the owner makes a mean “Lick My Chili.” Don’t miss it.

This place is awesome .. prices are very reasonable and the service is great. The Asian lady is so funny and hospitable. For a place that has been in business for 75 years in the same location is phenomenal. Definitely would recommend this place for a quick breakfast or lunch.
