El Monte doesn’t have too many good boba spots, but Ono Tea House is a decent option. Prices here are a little lower than most places, which is nice.

The tea itself is just okay — not super strong — and the drinks can lean on the sweeter side. I usually order mine with 1/4 sugar since I don’t like them too sweet.

It's great to see more Asian community and boba stores in South El Monte. The 4+ new boba stores are super awesome and this is one of the good ones as well. I do wish the community would have Korean Fried Chicken Asian/AAPI owned businesses though.

I love the smell of boba being made whenever I enter the shop. It’s a small comfy shop with cute plants around. Huge cups. Very friendly. Their boba tastes great. They actually have flavor and taste like they’ve been cooked with brown sugar, not bland at all.
