Big flavor, small prices.Lots of meals they have here: burgers, burritos, seafood... Our favorite meal so far is the shrimp tacos. They are the best we tried in El Monte! The dressing tastes great, and it is not covered with an abnormal amount of bread. Also, take advantage of the offers, such as tacos, Wednesday for $1 each, and fish tacos, $1.5 each. Atmosphere could improve a lot, the inside can look quite outdated, and there are no public restrooms, which it is a letdown....
Very Surprised I have to admit. This is my first time here. I had the Carne Asada Torta and my husband had the Menudo (on a Tuesday). The food was cooked perfectly. The meat was seasoned correctly, the salsa was spicy. Can't wait to return to try something else. They have Wednesday 99cent Tacos, Fish Taco Fridays. Sundays 50Cent Tacos. I highly recommend.
Honestly, what more could you ask for? From staff to ambience. Small and quaint. All you could expect from an unsuspecting place to bust the BEST small tacos. The pickled onions kill it. 4 tacos $3.30 Sundays. Byob and its dinner at home! If you dont try this place at least once in your life..... Your loss! Right-up the street from El Monte Station on Ramona @ Tyler, a great field trip destination from L.A. for those missing OG SGV home cooking! Stay tuned for more of my CisGoes...
