The experience felt rushed. We were still eating when asked about ice cream flavors, thinking the server was just asking for later but she just brought it out right away. We still had plenty of food left and now the ice cream is sitting and melting. Our chef did the usual things while cooking, nothing more and didn't look too thrilled to be there. He seemed distracted and was looking around at other tables to see what's going on around him. The food was good and there is always a lot of it. I am still tasting the garlic butter 12 hours later as I write this even though I've brushed my teeth twice now. Not my favorite feeling after eating at Benihana. The prices definitely have gone up! Dinner for 2 adults and 1 kids meal with tip is now going to cost $200. So be prepared. You go for the experience because the service is a hit and miss, the food is good and you won't leave hungry. If you've never been, this place is definitely a must try. Once. Otherwise, unless you're craving this specifically then go somewhere else.
It's hard to imagine that someone has never eaten at Benihana, but just in case, I will tell you why you should. It's a show, a dinner and a cooks table all in one. The seafood is very fresh and you can give your cook directions right to his face and see if you are getting what you want. They always go out of their way to ask about allergies, and although I don't have any, I have witnessed the care they take when someone at your teppen does have them. The show is amusing and clearly everyone in the restaurant is having fun. It is raucous and infectious and you're gonna have a good time (and leave with a full belly!)
Food and service was great. Our Chef Justin was entertaining and cooked our meal perfectly.
The restaurant is very old. Teppan counter tables and ventilation system have not been updated. Oil from the ventilation hood was falling onto the teppan grill, which was disgusting. They need to clean the hood more thoroughly. Food was good.
Great food. Great drinks. Great service. Great staff. Great ambience. Always a great meal. Will be back!
LOVE going to Benihana especially to celebrate my birthday! Hunter was a GREAT chef and we had a fabulous waitress as well. We had an incredible time like always!!
This could easily be a five-star experience. However, the reservation system is broken. We made a reservation for a special occasion for a family of four—a normal-sized party with two adults and two kids. With a 6:00 p.m. reservation, we weren't seated until 6:40. This is flat-out inexcusable. Other than that, the experience is fantastic. The wait staff and teppanyaki chefs are courteous and skilled. It's the poor front-of-house management that stinks up the experience at this location. I feel bad saying so, as it's a complex operation. But a place as old and storied as Benihana should not deliver this kind of miscalculation. Most restaurants will penalize guests who are more than 15 minutes late. This place, I wish I had been 30 minutes late so I didn't have to sit in the crowded wait area with the rest of the suckers. It's a real shame and a legitimate disappointment. I don't like having my time wasted, particularly on a special occasion when we are celebrating.
Definitely not worth the money. Nose level crazy loud any it was 5:30pm. Bathrooms were in terrible condition, very dirt, toilet paper, seat covers and paper towels in the floor. Guest should not have titi inform manager of the need to clean the bathrooms, this should be checked regularly. The parking situation was very bad, took us about 15 minutes to get our car from valet. Won't be returning.
I had a very horrible experience, to start it off I made a reservation and they made me wait 40 minutes to get seated. The host was rude to me and my husband about it when we asked how much longer. I can understand a couple minutes but there’s no point in making a reservation if we have almost an hour wait. When we did get sat we got a server named Owen that was pretty nice but seemed like he was in a rush and rushed us with ordering and leaving. On top of that he would give these weird looks but that could just be my impression. Now with our cook Tony he was great and we enjoyed him, he did a great job with our food. After Tony was done giving us our food Owen rushed with the to-go boxes and bags and we literally had no time to eat. I’m not sure if that’s normal but my experience wasn’t the best. Also, the menus and checkbooks are covered in grease and it’s so nasty and the bathrooms are horrendous, there was toilet paper on the floor and the toilets looked like they either haven’t been cleaned in a while or some people had a mosh pit in there. I’ve worked in a restaurant industry multiple times and I’ve never gave a customer a check book or menu with that much grease. It makes me imagine how their kitchen looks like. Other than that I will not be visiting again unfortunately and hopefully Tony gets a raise.

The food was really good, everything about the atmosphere is both fun and entertaining. I even enjoyed the service here. It's really friendly and the servers were aware of any allergies. Overall, the service was fantastic! 💖

Over 50 years of being a loyal customer I still enjoy it as much as my first visit. Today our hostess named Jackie was truly exceptional and the food was incredible. Chateaubriand and lobster you can never go wrong.
