We really like this place and we visit it many times......the thing that bothers me the most (it's kind of childish) is that 80% of the staff knows us (been there way to many times) and most managers have seen us but none of the managers even acknowledge us.....the staff do.....oh well....they have much to learn about regular clients

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Benihana, a renowned Japanese restaurant that offers a unique teppanyaki dining experience. The highlight of my evening at Benihana was undoubtedly the exquisite culinary journey that unfolded before me. The skilled chef "Juanito" dazzled us with his impressive knife skills and theatrical cooking techniques, creating mouthwatering dishes that were as delightful to watch being prepared as they were to savor. Each bite was a burst of flavor, showcasing the freshness and quality of the ingredients used. While the food at Benihana undoubtedly stole the show, I must mention that the service was a bit lacking in one aspect. Our server, while efficient and attentive in delivering our orders and ensuring our dining experience ran smoothly, seemed a little distant and not as friendly or welcoming as one might hope. A warm smile or a friendly greeting would have certainly enhanced the overall experience.Nonetheless, the minor hiccup in the service did little to diminish the overall charm of Benihana. The restaurant's vibrant atmosphere, delectable cuisine, and unique dining concept make it a must-visit destination for anyone looking to indulge in a memorable culinary adventure. In conclusion, Benihana is a gem of a restaurant that excels in delivering an unforgettable dining experience that tantalizes the senses. Whether you're a food enthusiast or simply looking for a fun and entertaining meal with friends and family, Benihana is sure to leave you with lasting memories and a craving to return for more.

We came for a birthday lunch. There was another lady celebrating her birthday too. Ali was our server and she was great. Jesse was our cook and he was outstanding. The food was fresh and cooked to perfection. It’s not just lunch but an experience. The soup was hot and full of flavor. The rice was full of yummy garlic butter and steaming hot. Oh my the steak was so juicy with tins of delicious flavor. The ice tea was really crisp and refreshing. The birthday girls got a free ice cream and photo. Ten out of ten recommend the food here. You have to pay for parking but it’s LA so. We experienced a little hiccup and spoke to Patrick the manager. Patrick is one of the worst managers I’ve encountered. He was rude, unprofessional and extremely condescending. Because he was so rude we had to ask for the GM Jason. Jason was very professional, helpful and understanding he even solved the issue without insulting us. Thank you Ali , Jesse, and Jason for a delightful dining experience. The restrooms are small but clean.

Great experience and good food BUT they put the chairs on the stove when they shut down for the day. Kind of gross since the floors are carpet and aren't exactly cleaned every day anyway... So floor grossness right onto the stove, might catch some floor disease that way. See picture from a week ago.

We came to celebrate my cousin's birthday and because it's Ramadan, we break our fast with coffee and dates. They have the nerve to charge us a $15 corkage fee, even though they're not opening the bottle or providing any silverware or glasses for them to clean or worry about. That is terrible service and we will never come here again because this is our tradition and religion and they're making us pay for it.

My whole life I've heard about Benihana and finally went tonight! We took a chance without a reservation and only waited 30 minutes. I had read in advance about the valet parking so we found a meter on the street a block away for $2. Thanks to other reviewers for that. The place was hopping and so full. We were seated with two other nice couples. We ordered the filet mignon, and the salmon. Entrees come with onion soup, salad, onions, mushrooms, zucchini, rice, AND ice cream or sorbet. It was so entertaining to watch the chef cook. And he did fun tricks as well. All the food was delicious. The two other couples ordered fried rice and let us have some. I can see why people come for celebrations. It was fun. But be prepared for a spendy meal. For two entrees & one beer plus tip was $124.

Very upset from the first minute I stepped into this location. First host instead of welcoming said our reservation canceled because of 2 min late. She Host really mean and unprofessional. I asked her a question from menu and she told me to go back and read the whole thing again. Than after waiting almost 45 min they gave us a cook that can't speak English , wasn't doing any tricks and was really tired . We had a birthday celebration and I had to remind him to sing a song or do a special trick for a child . NEVER NEVER COMING BACK HERE. I wish we went back to YAMATO / we had a great time few months ago in that restaurant and waiters and all staff were very welcoming !

I just ordered on Uber Eats and I ordered 20 dollar chicken fried rice, and what they sent me was left over garbage that I instantly spit out!!! , I’ve never been more disgusted by a delivery, and I’m horrified because I used to love Benihana but this experience has left me so grossed out I will never not only order from any of their establishments but I won’t ever go in person again, I feel like vomiting now remembering that I even took one fork full -

Fantastic food, as usual, though we had not been to a Benihana restaurant for several years (only because we never lived close to one). I highly recommend this for your entire family.

If you want to enjoy delicious food and a show this is the right place. It is mandatory to make a reservation one day before. I strongly recommend!
