I attended Neon Carnival over the weekend, and witnessed an absolutely repulsive display of behavior from who I later found out is the owner of Contemporary Catering. As I approached the bar, I witnessed this individual not only berate and curse out his staff in front of the crowd but he also escalated to aggressive behavior, particularly targeting a female bartender by screaming directly in her face. I was completely shocked, especially in an environment like a bar at a festival, where everyone should feel safe and respected. I felt compelled to ask a staff member about the association with Neon Carnival, only to discover the name of this individual's company. Whether this behavior stemmed from an inability to handle stress or a deeper issue with managing emotions, it was wholly unacceptable. I feel it's completely necessary to share this experience as I am truly disgusted. When hiring event vendors, I, personally, prioritize seeking out those who demonstrate respect, kindness, and decency. I would never want to be associated with such reprehensible behavior towards other human beings, or need to worry about someone flying off the handle at an event.

We consider ourselves to be big foodies. So picking a food vendor for our wedding seemed like an impossible task. Contemporary blew us away with every plate they selected for us. Stephanie and Andrew were super helpful and precise with taking care of everything from the tasting to what was needed the day of. We went with the buffet and it was great to have so many different options that all tasted amazing! We had multiple guests come up and tell us this was the best food they've had at a wedding.

Every step was done with seamlessness and professionalism. Sarah communicated with us effectively and held our hands through every selection making sure we were beyond satisfied. Wouldn't recommend. This company has some of the worst food I've tasted, the food was dry and the drinks were limited. I was at a venue last year during July 2022, and I have to say that the food was horrible. I didn't want to complain because I already heard the owner screaming in the back at his chefs but I would avoid and go reliable for catering. Either go W.P. (if you have the extra money to do so) or maybe Bite.*Be aware that the owner seems to have a fragile ego and is taking down negative reviews, the only "good" reviews are from 2017-2019. I only reposted this review because I noticed that one of their locations were shutting down and wanted to see if they were still in business. Turns out that they are, but for how much longer with their quality, who knows? Hopefully they close sooner rather than later, many other catering companies are worth it especially in L.A. as I have said previously.
