Mixed experience but we're going to remain positive. As a previous food industry consultant, I could say a lot of things here. But let's just cover the basics. Food: Pretty dang good. There are some stand outs: the ceviche was top tier, Peru level deliciousness with nice quantity (ounces) of shrimp, great citrus taste, and fresh tasting crispy corn tortilla that wasn't stale at all and wasn't oily. The burrata salad was really delicious. They need to add more pistachio because the fine powder pistachio just isn't noticeable at all. The meatballs were perfectly sized for two people and the sauce was plentiful without being soupy. The flavors were strong. They should consider serving with a few pieces of crostini; but otherwise perfect. The wings were large and meaty. The sauce? Meh. They said these were buffalo sauce and I guess they were correct. But they weren't particularly strongly flavorful the night we had them. And honestly, why are you doing simple buffalo. Add chives, add honey, add green onions and a Thai flavor. They were good. But down the street several restaurants do these quite well. We'd go there for wings now that we've tried them here. The braised beef and noodles is a pass: very very oily and not very cheesy. Not worth the money or the huge calories. The chicken sliders were really great. Needed just a hint of tangy, such as shredded pickle, fermented red onion, something to give them a little punch. The pistachio tart was really inedible. It was like biting into an old piece of ice cream with frost bite. The cream brulee was good flavor wise, but not very firm. It was more like a pudding, just slid right off the spoon. The environment inside needs a lot. It's like they put together in an hour on sound stage. Vacuous, really odd, broadly ethnic Home Goods decor. Staff were friendly. But to be out of items on a slow Friday night means the kitchen didn't get their orders in. And the house red was gross. Strong delicious cocktail though!
This place is a hidden gem. If you know it from the past, it was a Persian restaurant. It is now a tapas bar. It was "wonderful".... in every respect... the food, service, atmosphere and great value on top of everything. I highly recommend it to anyone reading this and will be highly recommending it to my friends.
Came here with my cousins on a Sunday night we were treated so nicely by the manager and staff. We were immediately seated they went above and beyond to make our table comfortable and just a very attentive staff. The food was delicious, most importantly!!
Such a great place. Food, drinks and service were all outstanding. I like that the tables are far enough apart that you have some privacy. Can't wait until summer to dine out on their patio.
Amazing service and really incredible staff. Unfortunately the wine and food was very sub par. I hope they can update the wine list and menu. The people and space are wonderful. I want this place to make it!
Lovely dining experience with friendly, prompt service and excellent food. Pialon opened only 3 months ago and it's a welcome addition to the SFV dining scene.
This was our first time to Pialon since the remodel. The space is terrific - open and inviting. Our server was prompt and friendly, and the tapas were delicious. We will definitely return soon!
My wife and I had dinner and drinks at Pialon last night. We highly recommend it. The food was delicious, the drinks were great, and the vibe was hip, inviting, and comfortable. The staff aimed to please and were all friendly and attentive.
Beautiful decor, excellent service and good selection of food and drink. Happy hour is a great value. Regular menu is a bit pricey for the small size but still worth it for the ambiance IMO.
Beautiful cozy place. Delicious shareable food. Incredible ice cream for dessert. Happy hour 5-7 pm serves great drinks and good size. The music was exceptional, and sound quality was superb. The exterior and interior decor is stylish, good ambiance. The service was wonderful. My sister and I really enjoyed this place and we will be coming back.

Highly recommend! Brussels sprouts, truffle fries, flatbread, chicken sliders, saffron chicken were all amazing. Only thing I didn't care for was the fried cauliflower.
Pialon did not disappoint!! The Mac and cheese roll was one of the best dishes I've ever had!!! The service was amazing and every single thing we ate was 10/10! The drinks as well! Will definitely be going back!
The overall decor in the restaurant is very nice, but the noise level inside made it very difficult to hear my friend who was sitting across from me at a table for 2. Selection of tapas plates is excellent. The food we ordered (meatballs, truffle fries, and pizza) was very tasty, but all of them could/ should have been hotter. The drinks were superb
Lovely restaurant with tasty and creative dishes and cocktails. The service is very good with kind and attentive gentlemen. Parking is directly below, $6 flat rate which seems reasonable for Ventura Blvd. We tried a few different cocktails along with the Brussels Sprouts, Ceviche, meatballs, truffle fries, margarita flat bread, Seabass, Fish tacos, short rib tacos, beet salad and lamb lollipops. Truthfully, everything was good for the 6 of us. Happy hour for half of our food and all of our drinks, yeah we saved a lot because we ordered a lot!
My friends and I celebrated early Xmas gathering in this restaurant. The food and the place reminded me of Barcelona Tapas bars. Absolutely delicious tapas food with great presentation, very attentive and polite servers. Classy velvet couches ads to the beautiful ambiance. Anyone who is crazy about great cocktails and tapas style food, here is the place. We enjoyed it immensely. This place is added to our favorite list of Restaurants.
