Was really happy to discover this new spot, located inside an adorable little plaza, Starlight offers a cute and intimate atmosphere with great food. Had the Godfather and Forest Gump rolls and can’t wait to try the others.

Excellent sushi. Johana my server was very attentive and made sure I had everything I needed.I had their salmon teriyaki a la carte, and a rainbow roll. The miso soup that I chose was fabulous and very flavourful and fresh. The salad even had a nice butterfly tomato, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The rainbow roll was a good size and everything has good portions, will be back for more. Steven the owner was very nice and obviously cares a great deal about his craft and his business.

This is my new favorite sushi in the valley! Very fresh fish, carefully prepared and with excellent flavor accents - traditional and subtle complements never overpowering the delicious flavor of the fish. Also they carry several relatively unusual fish - don't sleep on black snapper. Crispy rice with spicy tuna is everywhere these days, but this version is the best we've had. And there's a lovely little patio set off from Ventura for outdoor dining, especially nice as there's still a pandemic on, and underground parking.
I really enjoyed dining here. It's a little place but the service is great. The sushi is decently good and is priced as you'd expect it to be- rolls about $15-20 and other speciality dishes a bit higher. The miso soup was underwhelming but everything else seemed okay. Wasn't amazing but still a great meal. The place is great for a casual dining and seems like it'd be a go-to place for lunch if you work in the area.

I don't often take time to write a review but I'm so thrilled this place has opened as their sushi is excellent and I love their creativity. They do some things that other people do not but for the purest, they will be happy with the classics as well as their quality is really amazing. I had so many places come and go especially because of covid that I'm really hoping we all go support them and keep it open. It's so great to have that neighborhood find that is not just "okay because its close" but excellent and worth driving to.Parking: Parking is easy Underground

Tuesday DinnerParking/Wait: There is a free underground parking lot located right next to the small shopping plaza the restaurant is located in. This is nice since street parking in Encino is usually metered. The place was mostly full but we had some members of our party grab a seat before we came.Food/Drinks: Some of the dishes my party of 7 ordered:* Hamachi Kurumu* Hamachi Crudo* Albacore Birista* Starlight Lobster Specialty* Crispy Rice TempuraFish is super fresh and really good quality. I loved the seared salmon nigiri and their lobster specialty which they recommended. Tuna nigiri with uni and caviar was definitely the best bite :)Ambiance/Service: Nice decor. You can see the chef make the sushi behind the front counter. The service was great. I believe one of the owners is actually the chef, so it was nice to see him sometimes come to the table after he finished preparing to see how all his guests were doing!Summary: An excellent sushi location in Encino. I've had quite a few sushi meals in the area, and this one is one of the few I would return to. Place is very well priced too!

FINALLY!! A sushi bar on the border of Encino/Sherman Oaks that is delicious and reasonably priced! My friends took me here for my bday on a Saturday night around 9:30. The servers treated us like royalty and explained each sushi roll and entree item rather skillfully. We ordered the: Magic Mike Roll (HIGHLY RECOMMEND)SicarioBSC (with scallop)BLC (with lobster -- SOO GOOD)Mortal Combat (AMAZING)Tropical Thunder Garlic EdamameWe also received a salmon melt twister for appetizer treat and it melted in my mouth. And of course, towards the end of dinner I was surprised with a birthday candle surprise on top of tempura ice cream...what more can you ask for? You better believe I will be returning in the very near future!
