The best Indian food I ever had. And I'm an Indian food lover and went around the countries for different Indian food.

Miss our local Taj Mahal and hope they reopen soon. Such great food every single time.

Best Indian food in the valley! Never disappoints. It's essentially home cooked food. Can't wait till it reopens. Done in, take out, either way an exceptional experience.

Best Indian food (especially their vegetarian menu) in Los Angeles. Their flavors are so rich and unlike any of the dime a dozen Indian restaurants in LA. This may be due to their North Indian recipes that differ from the common South Indian flavors that are in most restaurants. Their food is simply incomparable and I’ve grown up eating Indian food from all the local hot spots. If you’re unsure of where to go- you MUST try this place.Vegetarian options: Vegetable Korma is a must!

the food portion is very poor , the hospitality is poor too when you step in the restaurant it seems that you entered their own home without an appointment !!

I've been eating at Taj Mahal for over 20 years. They have never let me down. At the end of Dec 2023 we called to find out they were closed. You know that feeling when you're wanting ice cream and someone already ate it. Same thing. We had hoped that it was for the holidays. We ordered from a place in Northridge and it sucked. I want my Taj Mahal back and back now.

This is the best Indian food. Can't beat the perfect dishes served. Hands down beats any other Indian Restaurant around. Please let us know if and where you relocate! We'll be there!

If I could give zero stars, I would! My family and I came into this establishment a few days ago to have dinner. Mind you, it was a bit late, but the restaurant had a good while before closing. I’m not sure if it was due to that reason or what, but the staff there were so incredibly rude. From the second we walked in, the tension in the air was felt. No warm welcome or greeting and we were just pointed to where we should sit. From sitting to ordering, the same attitude persisted and it just messes up the entire mood of the family dinner. The food was alright too! Since we were the only people there and sitting close to the kitchen, we could hear microwaves going off in the back.Save the trouble and money and go else where. I’d like to recommend a few in downtown, Santa Monica and the Hollywood area.

Lacked flavor. For Indian food I expected more flavor and heat. That's all I gotta say.

I have been eating at Indian restaurants for decades and know places in Chicago and Las Vegas that are superb, and Taj Mahal really serves some excellent Indian food! We went on a very hot San Fernando Valley night and the restaurant was cool and spotless. Very inviting and relaxing. They serve cold beer in a frosted glass which pairs perfectly with the entrees. We ordered traditional items that I have had many times but Taj Mahal serves their version that is not too greasy or spicy (if that's how you want it). Each item is perfectly prepared with quality ingredients and elegant presentation. We totally enjoyed Taj Mahal and will be back for more!

My husband & I have had dinner here several times. This is by far the best Indian restaurant in the SFV!!! It's family owned & the customer service is outstanding! The food looks & tastes freshly prepared. This is our favorite Indian restaurant!! The owners are very sweet. A must try!! You'll never go to another Indian restaurant after dining here!

New favorite spot! So good, we went back two nights in a row. My husband and I have been on the hunt for Indian food in our neighborhood and Wendy been able to find what we liked until now. The food is so good! I ordered the eggplant and potato dish on night 1, followed by the mixed veg curry on night two. My husband got the veggie korma both nights. We tried three different naans. Everything was incredible. Plus the staff is very kind and attentive. I am so happy we found Taj Mahal and I can't wait to return.

The food and service is very good but it is very overpriced. I think a bowl of oatmeal is over $20 and that's the least expensive item on the menu.

This place had lots of recommendations. I don't get it. The staff is the coldest, most unfriendly restaurant people I have ever seen. Worse, I think they are all one family, which means they have to have this small biz survive. The naan was the worst I've ever had, and the rest was only ok.

There's no better Indian food in the valley, period! I've dined inside seldomly but have been ordering take out from Taj Mahal for over 20 years. Outstanding and authentic food that has never declined in quality and flavor.
