I ordered the New York steak, which came with a chicken soup to start. They also served a small cube-shaped bread with salted butter — it was really good! The garlic bread was delicious too. The steak was cooked perfectly — juicy and tender — and it came with hot, crispy fries and buttery vegetables on the side, which were absolutely amazing. Also, the lady who served us was very kind and friendly. Thank you for the great experience!

Should’ve never stopped here thought it’d be a Nice place to eat visiting Fallbrook for first time Service was horrible. The server never came back to our table to see how our food was. Husband‘s eggs had shells in it. Fish was overcooked dry Drinks were never refilled paid five dollars each for drinks.Server Clementine was rude never checked on us .

I thought the service was excellent. The lady there was very attentive and did what she needed to do but they DEFINITELY need to FIND A NEW RECIPE for their CLAM CHOWDER 🤦♀️. And their side salad is literally NOTHING BUT LETTUCE. My husband said their cornbread is good and so was their butter

Ate here with my husband for the first time yesterday, and I absolutely loved it. When I say I want breakfast their food is exactly what I mean. Perfect portions, no griddle grease taste, real maple syrup, everything tastes like it was made with love and care. Very friendly and attentive employees, clean environment. The whole building has a vintage charm, but a facelift would help it really match the quality of food and service. Will be coming back!

Atmosphere is a old time cafe so not really relevant. Service was good, attentive, food came out quick. It was downhill from there. Eggs were good over medium, has browns had a weird oily taste and the chicken fried steak batter fell off as soon as you touched it exposing the thin hamburger patty. Gravy was weak and reminded me of a turkey gravy but not in a good way. Sourdough toast was not good it had no sourdough taste.
I had tried the cafe 20 years ago and did not like it for basically the same reasons no need to try again soon. If I make it another 20 years maybe I will try again.

We used to frequent this place but after more than a few bad experiences we stopped coming here. There’s nothing special about this place and the service is beyond bad…so why come here? The wait staff is borderline rude and definitely not happy, helpful, or welcoming.
The food is subpar for a diner and the prices are extraordinary.
Well our breakfast was good 👍 just one concern was the price of 2 breakfasts for $46.00. I think 🤔🤨 it was worth it.

This review is just on the angry old lady that answered the phone. I asked about a reservation and was rudely told we don't accept them, I then asked if we can show up and she said you'll have to sit outside. What happened to customer service? This sort of presentation is unacceptable!

Good omelets and very nice staff. Frequently checked in on us to see if we needed more coffee and such. It’s a lot smaller inside than I envisioned. But it has a small-town charm to it too. Prices were reasonably good. Coffee was strong. Not the cleanest place I’ve seen but by no means dirty. Lots of parking.
