We drove quite distance to try this restaurant because of the reviews. I disagree with the assessments, I did not find the food particularly good.

Kai was our fantastic server and was more than happy to provide recommendations (everything sounded great and I couldn't decide). Both our plates were delicious with large portions. The service was awesome. As well all around 12/10 recommend. Mmmm! Better than pasta that I had IN Italy! Can't wait to go back.

Our 1st time here, will definitely not be the last. The pizza was delicious, the complimentary bread sticks were so fresh and yummy. Our Server Kai was amazing! He is so friendly, attentive, he has a wonderful personality! We will definitely be back.

Service is a little slow, but the food is phenomenal and tastes like it must be homemade. Those garlicky bread sticks are absolutely addictive! I ordered the penne arrabiata, and it had wonderful flavor with just the right amount of kick. The only issue I had was with the terrible iced tea, as it tastes like it's made from tap water rather than filtered. That won't stop me from going back; I'll just have to find something different to drink.

1st time here. Visiting my sister, she suggested Itallian. The place has a quaint darker lighting ambiance.portions on the entre were large. I had the parm chicken. Split breast with a healthy portion of Swiss cheese, but needed more sauce for the size.
The dinner came with a cup of penne noodles with the same sauce. The noodles were a bit dry or overcooked. I'm not sure if the was chef intent, but it they tasted good. The side veg was baby roasted pots and carrots. These were definitely overcooked! I could not find the meat and penne and did not want more overcooked veg. Price... $27
Sis had shrimp scampi. Much smaller portion, but it is a more manageable portion. $28
Two house salads $14, had 2 small slices Tom's, and cattorrots. Some very nicely seasoned peppers, lots of romaine lettuce.
worth the price for dinner.

Place is pretty pretentious for what they offer, kitchen likes to close a half hour before listed regularly and they do not answer their phone majority of the time. So don’t bother making a trip in the evening if you live far. Don’t bother ordering take out either, they will cancel your order through DoorDash too. Do not recommend.

No, my intention was not to hurt but go ahead and try to make it personal. My intention is to warn people from driving far to get takeout here when you don’t bother to even greet customers half the time. I’ve been in this establishment quite a few times and have had your food. It isn’t life changing but it’s decent, that’s why I gave it 3 stars. Sorry, you disagree with my opinion. Aside from that, every time I’ve been in this place, the host station is abandoned and the person coming out from the kitchen greeting doesn’t seem to want to serve you at all. The server that greeted me, walked up and said “can I help you?” I’m curious how another fine dining restaurant would treat a person waiting at the door to be greeted. Also, closing your kitchen a half an hour before closing time is pretentious, especially because my order was already placed, they cancelled it because they wanted to leave early. I’ve worked in restaurants, kitchen doesn’t close a half an hour before closing time unless it’s a bar. Any sit down restaurant would grab a menu and ask “dining in or takeout?”. Maybe you’re successful in a small town because there’s a ton of people living here and very few options for Italian. Hole in the wall places have been open 21 years, doesn’t mean their service is 4 star quality. If you don’t want to accommodate for takeout order, just don’t offer it, simple as that. I’ll give you two stars since you bothered to reply. Not everything is 5 stars just because you exist. It’s funny how you say you’re committed to your community but when someone from that very same community has constructive criticism
you can’t seem to hear a thing. My inbox is open if you’d like to reply and actually settle this like a decent business. Somehow I doubt you’re willing though.

What an amazing experience!! From the wonderful service from Tania to the quality and taste of the food, Trupiano's was absolutely next level! We special ordered a pizza, salad, and tried their 5 star lasagna! We were not disappointed!! In fact, we were surprised well beyond our expectations! What an amazing find in Fallbrook, California! This is truly authentic Italian cuisine to the fullest! If you get a chance to stop in...do yourself a favor and experience the flavors!
