I love Yama Sushi. Steve and the crew are always welcoming. Their Sushi is my favorite. I go to sushi all over and I still feel like I am always impressed when I go there, which is about 2-3 times a week (I know, a lot!) The Syracuse roll is one of my favorite (hold the salmon for me LOL). The Ex-Girlfriend is also amazing and refreshing. Japanese Nachos are the perfect starter. GOSH I just love all their rolls.
Delicious Rolls and really nice people
The owner and staff are so nice and friendly but the important part is the food is great. The rolls are all delicious and have their own flavor don't need any soy sauce. The Sashimi or Carpaccio is also tasty and good size cut fish. We like the Ex-Girlfriend, Japanese Nachos, Syracuse roll, Yellowtail Carpaccio or Yellow tail belly and Albacore sushi. I have been to a lot of sushi places and this is one of the good ones.

Ordered the Syracuse house special roll as recommended by the waitress. It was served with a side of wasabi and some very vibrant pink picked ginger. Although the roll didn't look like a roll, it was still flavorful and delicious! I ordered it with my usual nigori cold unfiltered sake, which although the only brand they had on hand at the time was a bit on the sweet side, was still enjoyable. I also finished up with a last minute order of my favorite mackerel sushi, although I forgot to take a pic of the two pieces before devouring it. Theirs was definitely better than average as it was flavored with a slight smoky grilled flavor which was unique and made it taste very high end.
I'll definitely be coming back on my next trip to Fallbrook!
Also the bathrooms were clean and scented well!

My wife and I ate here just a few days ago. People were nice but the food was mediocre at best. We both felt ill later in the evening and the next day.
The advertising sign outside and inside does not match, and the price difference is not being honored,

Best sushi in Fallbrook hands down however to-go orders and delivery orders never seem to be correct or are always missing items. Still highly recommend this establishment just dine-in if you can.
We were in town for a competition and needed to grab something to eat. The sushi here is so tasty but their fried rice is out of this world good. The service is also very welcoming and friendly. Definitely recommend!
