**IT'S CASH ONLY! ** but worth it.

Rockys is a classic breakfast diner spot without all the fuss and muss. The food was delicious, the service was quick and friendly, and it’s great for a quick stop if you're ambling down Highway 9. The vibe is more small-town and less hipster. It's a good alternative to The Grove, especially if you got discouraged by the crowd there.

One critique: their drip coffee was... not good. Maybe it was just a bad coffee machine day? Which is a shame, because there’s so much great coffee in the area.

The server ignored us until the owner finally took our order. Forget our toast and the food was cold.

An amazing cafe!! Stopped here after camping in Henry Cowell for my best friends birthday. Samantha was our server. She was amazing and super personable. Even caught a wasp for us that was bugging us. We’re from the Monterey area but will definitely return for the amazing service!

Defeats starvation but not first choice. Burgers were fine but buns a little stale. Chili on the burger was likely out of a can from the grocery store. Staff isn't particularly friendly.

My spouse & I spent a week camping nearby. We ate breakfast at this cafe 3x that week. We had been there a few years ago, and loved it. Well, the cafe still serves delicous food! We received great service too! Malcolm was our waiter a couple of times and he was great! Sam, another waitress, was so personable, bubbly and nice! We loved sitting at the same table and enjoyed all the staff. The eggs and bacon was cooked perfectly. We were apprehensive that this cafe wouldn't be as good as it was years ago, but it was.
The only suggestions I have is 1) get real menus. They have photocopied menus and the photocopy is poor. It creates a negative appearance, and 2) they are suppose to be open everyday (per Google), but we arrived on a Wednesday and they were closed. So, that wasn't great. Either Google hasn't been updated or it was just closed for some other reason. Other than that, all is good.

Felt like an episode of Kitchen Nightmares. What didn't go wrong?

Rude manager
Confused waitstaff
Paper menus stapled together
Waitress spilled water all over the table
Didnt have food from the menu in stock (Beer and French Dip)
Served a salad without dressing
Served the couple next to me a double order of pancakes by mistake
Forgot the extra avocado we ordered 3 times
Brought incorrect bills to our table and the table next to us

Pretty impressed by this place. We could have gone anywhere and had a nice meal, but this was an experience.

Can tell you how much we enjoyed our breakfast here. First of all the food was amazing. Eggs Benedict was on point. The French Toast was absolutely delicious. The Pancakes were fluffy and delicious. The Omelets were full of great flavor and to top it off the Huevos Rancheros was an abundant plate of goodness. Best of all was the customer service and the friendly Locals. The customer service was nothing less than amazing. She was definitely the best and most authentic person we've met on all of our travels. We also had the pleasure of meeting a local gentleman by the name of Budzilla that was the highlight of the whole day. If you ever have the chance to visit them you will not be disappointed. I cannot give this place a higher reccomendation.

twas yummy :3

had the "redneck benny" which is an eggs benedict with sausage pattys instead of bacon, and topped with an amazing gravy with bits of stuffing in it~~?? u also have a choice between house fries and hashbrowns (i chose hashbrowns and they were nice and light on the stomach [i often struggle with hashbrowns when theyre too greasy, but this one was just right])

it came out to be 15.81 including tax

i got a small stomach so i ate the hashbrowns and half the benny, and saved the rest of the benny as leftovers to eat later, as i was on a roadtrip. i ate it the night of the next day and it was still yummy and didnt upset my stomach or anytimg :3?? (i wrapped the to-go box in a paper bag sealed w a rubberband and then put that inside a plastic grocery bag, and kept it in shaded areas of the car. i saved leftovers many times like this and i was able to enjoy all my leftovers at later points on my trip)

Food is average but the service and atmosphere makes it all worth it!

Vegetarian options: It's breakfast, so lots of vegetarian options. Tofu scramble isn't the best but omelets, scrambled eggs, oatmeal and fruit is on the menu. Home fries are average.

Kid-friendliness: Lots of families and lots of options on the menu that kids will love!
