Made reservations for six for a birthday celebration. I opted not to bring a cake as they charge $3.50 per person. Was told there was complimentary ice cream with a candle for the birthday person. We were seated, ordered, and waited quite a while before some of the food arrived. No mention of our birthday reservation or offer for dessert. Waitress never checked to see if we needed boxes for left overs, I had to ask for one. To be fair they were busy, but communication needs to be better between staff. Expected better service for the prices they're charging. We've lived in the area for over 25 years. The old Trout Farm was much more appropriate for the area, I guess our neighborhood is becoming much more upscale. We're retired and this restaurant has moved out of our price range. Won't be going back.

We met friends for brunch. We were 1st time patrons. The food was really good. We sat outside and the atmosphere was nice and laid back. We will be coming back. I didn't like the fact that only food for 2 of us was brought out and the other 2 had to wait for theirs and someone came to pick up our plates but only took 2 plates when she asked if she could take them all away. All she had to do was stack the other 2 plates.Overall a good experience.

We visited Trout Farm Inn today for the first time since its renovation. What a lovely experience! We went for lunch on a weekday, and sat outside on their lovely, dog friendly patio. The inside of the restaurant and the bar area both looked amazing, but since the weather was nice, we opted for outside under the lovely oak trees and babbling stream. Our waiter, Nathan, was outstanding. And the food was awesome. We tried their famous hot pretzel as an appetizer and it was delicious. I had their burger, and my companion had fish tacos. Both dishes were wonderful. They had a great selection of beers on tap as well as an extensive cocktail menu. We highly recommend Trout Farm Inn and we'll be back to try Sunday brunch and dinner outside as the weather warms.

Ambiance is nice. Food was ok. But service was terrible. The restaurant staff are not experienced enough or they do not have good management. There is no changing table in the bathroom. There were delays and mistakes on our order but there we no offer for anything complimentary. The pool was available but we were told that it was booked all day. When I checked later there were many slots open and that is a sign of discrimination. I had high hopes for this place but not going back.

Love love love Trout Farm!! Such an amazing addition to our mountain town. Drinks are always great, bartenders and servers outgoing and fun to talk too, and food is delicious. One of a favorites to dine at since opening.

I have lived in SLV all my 50 years and experiencing the re-birth of the Trout Farm is such a joy. The food is really good and the staff are friendly and accommodating.

The old Trout Farm was a very unique, laid back place with all sorts of characters. The rebuilt Trout Farm still is a very unique, laid back place. The staff are great and very knowledgable and make you feel welcome. It's a great place to grab dinner and a drink with friends or lunch with the family. Everyone I've gone with found has something they really liked.

Ok. I love that they expanded the menu to include brunch on Sunday until 2pm. It was busy. Warning, they are trying out a few new servers. Be patient. We had the country Benedict and the California Benedict. They need to hold back on the salt and provide salt and pepper on the table. It would be good to include coffee service in the dining area. Otherwise, I love the new developments.

Food was great! Went with a group and everything we ordered was tasty. Would recommend the fried chicken sandwich. The kombucha was great and was even better to look at! Served in a tall glass with a purple to pink gradient, a fresh black berry and mint. Great place for a date, or lunch. Will be back to try out the pool for sure!

I love what they've done with the place. The ambience is nice. The room is a bit echoey when it's filled to capacity. Maybe they should consider some sound baffles on the wall to reduce the echo. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The food is always delicious and comes out of the kitchen quickly and well presented. most important, the food has been consistent over the five or six times. I've been back this year. Nothing makes me want to return more than consistently. Good quality food. Keep up the good work Trout Farm.

I'd love to share photos of our great meal there, but we didn't end up having one. We made a reservation for Christmas Eve about 2 months in advance. The hostess suggested doing it early, because they have a special meal planned. 4:30, party of six. Phone number confirmed. We called today to check on the menu - no one there. We got a callback that they decided NOT to be open Christmas Eve. Kinda sucks finding that out on the 23rd. I'm sure that decision was made a while ago and while the staff found out, it seems the customers did not.
