To bad course is closing. The layout is good, tough on some holes with many elevation changes. Greens where in great shape on most holes. Some bunkers where a little hard and wet. Whole course was decent shape tee and fairways. Found myself in the rough and tree line which most times means punch out or layup. Will have to try play one more time before they close for good in Sept 2020.

Made a special trip to play the course one last time before it closes September 7th. Sorry to see it go, even though I love avocados 🥑🥑 , couldn’t help wonder how much land does an avocado farm need.

Very beautiful course there's not another like it in Ventura County 5 lakes 4 are usually filled with water 3 have a working fountain ⛲, 6 holes are played off hills, the 17th is a 110ft drop to the valley that gives you an unforgettable view and feeling of the world ? the only course in Ventura County with this feature great shape for the summer if it were longer it could hold PGA tournaments -very, very quiet golf play because it's tucked away in the hill's far from it's city of Fillmore. It's sad to hear it's closing in September if i win the lottery I'm buying elkins or building one exactly like elkins wish me luck :) thankyou -and I wish all of you that read this review to play elkins for your last time or first. -And thankyou Elkins Golf Course for all you gave me I'll never forget you ??️♂️⛳

The course was great shape except for the bunkers, but I understand why C19.
Great little course... not overly long but has some very challenging holes. Fantastic condition, beautiful scenery and a great value!
