I spent a Friday afternoon at the brewery and was impressed by the overall look and feel of the place. The facility was well-designed and visually appealing. I sampled a few of their beers—El Jefe, Low Viz Hazy, and the Mango Seltzer—all of which were enjoyable. The food was also very good and reasonably priced; I particularly liked the pizza and the Baretta salad.
The brewery featured a live country music performer during my visit, which complemented the rustic, barn-themed atmosphere nicely. However, one aspect of the experience was less enjoyable: the venue is extremely kid-friendly—perhaps overly so. While I completely understand and support the idea of families enjoying a meal and a drink together, the number of unsupervised children running around created a chaotic environment. Kids were taking unoccupied tables, knocking over chairs, and generally treating the space like a playground, which detracted from the otherwise relaxing atmosphere.
Another odd transition occurred after the live music ended. The staff switched over to an AUX playlist, which initially was fine. However, the music selection shifted to club and rap tracks—artists like 21 Savage and Lil Baby—which felt mismatched with the venue's setting and clientele.
Overall, it's clear that this brewery is a point of pride for the small town of Fillmore. Coming from a larger city, I can understand why locals hold it in such high regard. With a bit more attention to ambiance and crowd management, this place could offer an even better experience for all guests.
Nice Vibe. Fun people, delicious pizza, good beers.
Great first experience! The service was good, all the employees were exceptional, and the food exceeded expectations.
We LOVE Red Engine Brewing! The atmosphere is super welcoming and relaxed. It’s the perfect combination of having a place for adults to gather but kid/family friendly as well. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I love the Burrata Salad, ask for a side of their homemade spicy ranch and you’re in heaven.

Ohmygosh.
This place!
Having been to many breweries over the years, the decision to head to a brewery for dinner at 6pm in search of a great dinner *after a really long day*, when we really not eaten, might have been a little questionable.
After reading the reviews, we decided to give it a go….
We are SO glad we did.
My husband and I each started with a beer and could not recommend either any higher. I am not a huge beer drinker but tried (*and loved*) the Java Bump. My husband started with the Alpha and moved to a tasting flight - including stouts and sours. My husband felt that every beer, in its respective realm, was excellent.

I love a brewery with good wine!
I then moved to their Cabernet, Ancient Peaks. I was unexpectedly and pleasantly surprised!
Recall that we hadn’t eaten all day…
We might have over-ordered🥴
We started with the lemon pepper wings and honestly felt that they were THE BEST WINGS we have ever eaten. -But, actually.
We then moved on to the Burrata Salad - it is so rare for a pizza place to have great salad - but, THEY DO.
We then ordered their new Burrata Pesto Pizza, which was **AMAZING** (and might forever haunt my culinary dreams).
We also got to sample the Carnivore and Pepperoni pizzas, as well as the BLT - all were seriously - SO GOOD!
- Not kidding.
As total “outsiders”, not from the area…. Libations and gastro-happiness aside, the culture and “vibe” at REBC is also, SO GOOD.
We were there on a Thursday night.
It was REBC’s “members night” but also, there were clearly so many other people there enjoying their night. People were dancing to the music, playing games, talking, laughing, there was a retirement party, it was just really nice to soak it all up. The place was packed but even still, the service was great.
My husband and I were genuinely taken by what we felt was such a uniquely awesome sense of community and culture.
From employees like Arlene & Erin who absolutely seemed to be happy to do whatever needed to be done - to patrons of all ages…
From our observation, the crowd seemingly spanned 3 months to 80 years - with so many in the middle. The environment was really neat to witness. (We are in our late 50s & mid 60s.)
Last, the live music and cool aesthetic - including the historic fire engine, great graphics, and unending branding were a noteworthy part of the backdrop.
In short, we loved this place.
The beer.
The wine.
The food.
The service.
The culture.
The community.
The vibe.
Highly recommended!
Didn’t have any food, just beer. Enjoyed the brew and it seemed like a popular hangout spot for families, friends, etc
Cool fire truck just inside the front door
Very cool atmosphere. The gentlemen working were very friendly and helpful. Food was pretty good, and the drinks were unique and delicious.
Friendly, food and a big ol fire truck inside. Definitely stopping by again on my way threw
Great place!
Excellent pizza and beer. We had the veggie pizza. The crust was superb. Super clean and modern brewery. Great selection of beers and it is not overpriced. $18 for an artisan style pizza with fresh ingredients. Six slices between the two of us and I was full. I tried the hazy IPA which was delicious. I recommend stopping here, without reservation! PS you have to try the spicy ranch😃

Good times and beer and food
First time being here and it was good
Awesome place in Fillmore! Love this addition to our town
Has decently priced food and beers. Nice staff. Feels a bit cold tho(like not nice and cozy), new building perhaps? Not trying to down the place, just explaining the vibe. Food was good, beers were tasty. Seems to be quite a few regulars, folks with kids, and an overall chill place to drink, hangout. There’s a damn old fire truck inside which was pretty cool!
Red Engine is incredible, their beer is great and the food is amazing! Easily one of my favorite places to hang out with friends.
