I’ve been staying at the lodge where this restaurant is located for several days and had multiple trips to Jackalope’s now for breakfast and dinner. The lodge itself is beautiful and the restaurant (Jackalope’s) is no exception. Great ambience. The first night I was here I ate dinner. The appetizer wings were good, but the main courses were really poorly cooked, especially for the price. In my party, they managed to mess up a pasta (how do you mess up noodles?), undercook a steak, and send out a couscous side dish that could have been mistaken for paste. It was all glued together, cold, and didn't have any seasoning or other semblance of flavor. We had to ask the waiter multiple times any time we needed something. The waiter would check in regularly, but would have forgotten what we asked for the last time they checked in. Some of the food was ok, but a lot of it was really embarrassing for the price it’s being sold at.Then on another day, I tried the breakfast. The buffet is pretty pricy ($25) so expectations are high, despite me knowing that they had already served us subpar dinners. I should have gone in with lower standards. The pancakes felt dystopian. The outside ring of them was very hard and everything on the inside tasted like rubber. They were also cold. This was at 8AM.How do you mess up pancakes like that?If they had boxed, frozen Ego waffles to stick in a toaster, that would’ve been a significant upgrade in quality.Thankfully they do have some prepackaged options like muffins that aren’t made in house. Their cooking is brutal. Some of the courses were ok, the burgers were decent. But for the price you’re paying, you’re basically flipping a coin on if you get something you enjoy eating or something inedible.

Food was delicious and service was great! Aaron was an awesome server and made sure we were taken care of. We sat by the fireplace and watched the snow pile up outside. Kyle was incredibly sweet and attentive to us during our dinner as well. We will definitely be back!

Did not stay at the hotel but went for dinner at Jackalope. Spicy shrimp was the best dish. Drinks were awesome too. This restaurant is the best option in the area.

Setting is great. Allow dogs In separate area. Service was attentive. Burger was little dry. And tacos were ok.

Delicious food, served in generous proportions. They mixed up my order, but apologized profusely and quickly made it right. I’d definitely eat here again when in the area.

Had a long day in Yosemite and wanted to stop for a bite to eat before we headed home so we decided to try this restaurant. It's located inside Tenya Lodge across the lobby. The inside of the restaurant is very cozy and we sat next to the indoor fireplace. We were sat right away and someone immediately brought us waters while we waited. Our server was pretty busy but made sure we knew he was around. He absolutely made the experience with his kindness. The menu is pretty small so it's easy to go through. We tried the BLTA, the caesar salad, pasta, and the steakhouse burger. The food was overall pretty good especially the Caesar salad! The star of the show however was the dessert!! Soooo good!! I can't remember what it's exactly called but the toffee dessert was our favorite!! I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

Vegetarian options: I had an impossible burger it was most excellent. Very nice bun. Nice burger couldn't even tell it was vegetarian. Loved it. Would get again.Kid-friendliness: Crayons and coloring pages and entree splitting since the kids barely eat one kids meal between the both. Very nice.

1st timer. Vacation to see FireFall at Yosemite.Sat at the bar. Ambience was great, service was great - Food was flavorful and tasty but came out cold.We ordered the nachos and pulled pork tacos - the meat and beans were cold. We were starving so we ate and like I said it was flavorful but would ah e been nice for it to be warm.It was the end of the evening so maybe the chef was going too fast.Tip: the market next to the lobby sells bottles of wines. Grab some wine glasses from the bar and enjoy in your room.

Food is good. Service is attentive and always finds a way to say, Yes. Immediately turned in our left behind reading glasses. But the star of our stay is Anthony at the bar. He made our whole party of 20 feel important to him, took care of our specialty cocktails and mocktails (not on the menu), and counceled us on the types of liquor to make our drinks perfect for us every day. We had very good service from all, but it is Anthony that makes travelers like us come back to Tanaya.
