The food was delicious! I had the filet mignon beef Wellington and my husband had the crusted salmon. Both dishes came with sides and desserts included and it looked amazing and was absolutely delicious. The price per plate, only $55., that’s a bargain these days. The atmosphere of old times mountain house was cozy and comfortable. We were seated in front of the fire place. We’ll definitely be eating there again soon.

This looked to be the best option in the area for fine dining. I was pretty disappointed with the food but the service was excellent. We started with the fried eggs, which were interesting but unremarkable. I was very much looking forward to the butternut squash soup but it was inedible. It was broth consistency and Overpowered by nutmeg or some other very strong spices and I couldn’t even taste the butternut squash. The vegetarian “pot pie” was a side dish sized bowl of veggies with a puff pasty accent. It was delish ish but not entree sized. My partner had the rib eye (“it was fine” ) with an avocado “bernaise” (it was guacamole) and came with French fries. For dessert we had the cheesecake which wasn’t worth ordering. Overall not worth the money for a mediocre dinner. Service was outstanding.

The double-double cheeseburger. The crunchy, salty fries. Both were excellent. You can’t say the fries were “on the side,” because they stand out. The Cobb salad, tasty. The service, from host to waitress to runner, was first class, essentially very nice people who know what they’re doing (and do it well) and the food they’re serving. If you’re wondering what the kicker is in the chicken pot pie, the server told me. Paprika.

Even if you're not staying at the adjacent narrow gauge Inn, this is a good place to stop for food. They have a white range of foods cooked and spiced just right. They have a variety of local brews to try, as well as traditional favorites. The service was far and beyond any expectations. And I doubt there is any restaurant on the Mountain that can beat the view from their dining hall.

If there was ever a place to be featured on gordon ramsey’s kitchen nightmares this would be it. Came in on a Saturday night at 7:45 waited 10 minutes to be seated even though the restaurant was only a quarter full. While waiting to be seated listened to Caribbean style music that continued throughout the dining experience and completely went against the vibe of the rustic lodge atmosphere of the restaurant. We order the 13oz ribeye steak “special”, which was exactly the same as the ribeye they had on the menu but $2 more, and the chicken pot pie. The steak was almost inedible with an avocado chimichurri puree on top and the chicken pot pie had way too much pepper in it and came with a burnt puff pastry. Overall skip the place and save your money.

Were here for dinner - wanted to go at 7 p.m., but unfortunately didn't get a table until 8 p.m. - although some things seemed free.
Right at the beginning we got 2 glasses of water at the table, but no bottle of water - all the other tables got one.
Ordered drinks, my beer came quite quickly, my companion's drink didn't come straight away. When asked, they said, it's coming soon - it's about a lemonade! After 10 minutes I asked again - "oh totally forgot, coming straight away". Then the same waiter brings the food 5 minutes later - still no soda. I asked again and she actually came 2 minutes later with the comment: "Perfect for food" - covering up incompetence with humor, very funny.

After I had finished eating, I was asked if we wanted the dessert menu - I replied that I would like to let my companion finish first (she was only halfway through her meal). 10 minutes later (she had just finished eating) the bill came directly without asking. They probably wanted us out... We paid straight away and left. Weird place...

Had a great meal in this place. The staff were busy but attentive and helpful. Tried the chicken pot pie and it was excellent. Dessert were also great. All in all, I'm happy to have been in to eat and would go in again with no issues.

We arrive without a reservation and despite a few people in front of us, we are quickly seated at the table with a smile and sympathy.
Excellent service, smiling, attentive, available and efficient.
The place is warm, cozy, typical and calm.
We enjoyed an excellent burger, perfectly crispy fries, and a perfect little salad.
The drinks are very good, including the cocktails.
The prices are correct.
Don’t hesitate to stop!

The boss is very friendly, despite the fact that we arrived late at the agreed time (1/4 hour).
The decoration is a little austere.
The dishes are really very good; I had a fried chicken with mashed potatoes and FRESH green beans! And a chicken that must have been free-range because the flesh was so firm, all topped off with a very good white sauce.

My wife had Tacos; excellent!
An American-style Tiramisu… a dantesque slice! Good.
We had 2 cocktails, too strong for my taste, but nevertheless very good.
We paid $113 for two, the price for quality.
I highly recommend this establishment.

Parking: I don't know!

The bartender will hate me for this, especially if he’s got a bunch of tickets waiting, but the smoky old fashioned is SO good. They get busy, so make a reservation if you can (unless you’re staying at the hotel), but overall, the staff and food are both awesome and worth the wait.

This is a lovely little tavern with DELICIOUS food. Menu options featured locally sourced ingredients and everything tasted extremely fresh. I had shrimp tacos and my hubby had a smash burger. Both were excellent and much appreciated after a long day of exploring Yosemite. The staff was very welcoming as well. Worth the stop on your way out of the park!
